From http://www.celcom.com.my/broadband/html/br...outh_facts.html

"This package is a DATA ONLY Plan and cannot be subscribed as a Value Added Service over a Celcom Postpaid voice plan."

So, no call and sms?

I'm using Celcom P148 with my Iphone, here what can I do.

1. Thetering with my netbook (surf & download) unlimited.
2. Calling my gf everyday (1 hour average for every call)

And my bill will be only RM180.00 max. Really satisfied with this combination, never have to control my data usage.

my line is already a celcom exec package. i just add-on the data plan RM68.

if you just subscribe to data plan only, they will give you a sim card which only enable data plan.

if you already have celcom line, they just enable the service into your existing sim card. is their back-end configuration. biggrin.gif

so far so good, able to download/surfing without problem.

Could you please explain further?

I have an Iphone 3GS, IOS4.0, not jailbreak, how do I deal with data blockage?

What I did is,

Under Settings > General > Network > Enable 3G is set OFF > Data Roaming is set OFF

Is that all I need to do to ensure no extra data charges? hmm.gif

in iOS4 you're supposed to set Cellular Data = OFF, this will turn off data totally.

mmm i thought my 500mb maxis plan was a hard cap, but it's not. happily happily use and now i'm slapped with an rm250 data bill instead of my monthly rm58 commitment.

Except for digi, maxis & celcom will charge u if u exceed the limit/threshold..
so u better watch out the utilization of the data each time..

moreover, the limit is include download/upload..

For digi, they will throttle your speed from 700 kbps to 128 kbps w/out charging any of the cents if u exceeds..

for often roaming data usage, better check your internet roaming settings under settings --> network..

off it so that u cant use your data if u roaming..

thank you

Turning OFF the "3G & Cellular Data" = Does it mean I am on 2G/EDGE network right now? I can still send and receive MMS, am I correct?

@michael9413,
It's very obvious the above plans from DiGi and not Maxis biggrin.gif
