iPhone Data Usage Issues (Maxis, Celcom, DIGI), Usage & Bill diff - High bill charges!

I spoke to several Maxis CS agents. They told me that we cant trust the iphone data counter. It takes 7 hours to update the counter.
That day, I got billed RM5k plus but luckily there's a limit to charging so only RM250.

mayb is nt tat counter nt accurate...i follow my counter every month and it shows excatly the same amount as i use... so i assume threres a possiblility tat iphone got virus tat activated ur 3g at certain period..tats wad happen to my fwen's iphone...and maxis staff check the fon record it say the 3g uses constantly increase during mid nite 2-4 am...so who noes wad happen...><||| Added on March 14, 2010, 8:01 pmQUOTE(arshad @ Mar 12 2010, 12:42 AM) Hello. crap, ever since i accepted the new digi setting on itunes, i can't seem to find my APN settings anymore in my iphone and i am experiencing data usage the moment i switch on any app... is there any way to solve this problem? i am on digi prepaid and i am using non JB phone.. problem solved, called Digi and they CAN deactivate internet settings. Last night I connected my iphone to my PC and iTunes asked me "to update to new carrier settings".. i proceeded and now I can't set the APN settings under General>Network anymore. My phone just sucked up RM5 of my credit overnight laying idle..  Oh, I'm on DiGi btw..

I'm on FW 3.1.3 so no JB for me =( like what redqueen said, only way is to JB yr phone, if not, be prepared to fork out RM150 per month for unlimited internet on your iphone as i believe RM5 will be auto deducted from your credit everyday

hmm... how come v dont have apps like what sg iphong users have??
google around and search on appstores, shud easily find data usage trackers apps to keep in track with their data usage. (exp: SingTel data usage, iBBOM, Broadband on Mobile)
they can key in their mobile number, and package type/monthly data allowance, set their billing due date, etc. and walllllla....
they can simply keep track of their data usage. and receive alert and how much time do they have until the next billing date, so they can fully utilize their data.

Anyone here using Digi 3G on their iPhone?
After updating carrier settings via iTunes, it gave me the internet tethering function but I can't seem to edit Cellular Data Network settings anymore, and now I can't use MMS.
Anyone have any idea what can be done?
