I spoke to several Maxis CS agents. They told me that we cant trust the iphone data counter. It takes 7 hours to update the counter.

That day, I got billed RM5k plus but luckily there's a limit to charging so only RM250.

mayb is nt tat counter nt accurate...i follow my counter every month and it shows excatly the same amount as i use...
so i assume threres a possiblility tat iphone got virus tat activated ur 3g at certain period..tats wad happen to my fwen's iphone...and maxis staff check the fon record it say the 3g uses constantly increase during mid nite 2-4 am...so who noes wad happen...><|||

crap, ever since i accepted the new digi setting on itunes, i can't seem to find my APN settings anymore in my iphone and i am experiencing data usage the moment i switch on any app... is there any way to solve this problem? i am on digi prepaid and i am using non JB phone..

problem solved, called Digi and they CAN deactivate internet settings. No more Edge sign appear on my screen

yes you will..thats your plan..contract over means that now you are eligiable to sign a new contract...and you can terminate your line for free...no penalty.

Last night I connected my iphone to my PC and iTunes asked me "to update to new carrier settings".. i proceeded and now I can't set the APN settings under General>Network anymore.

My phone just sucked up RM5 of my credit overnight laying idle..

Ah, same problem i had... just call Digi and tell them to block off internet services and u will see the Edge logo disappear from your screen... i believe you might be able to get back some of that credit when they block the internet

or you can try using sbsettings to disable your data with Data Toggle if your phone is jailbroken though.

But I do occasionally want to use 3G with the RM5 per day plan.

I'm on FW 3.1.3 so no JB for me =(

like what redqueen said, only way is to JB yr phone, if not, be prepared to fork out RM150 per month for unlimited internet on your iphone as i believe RM5 will be auto deducted from your credit everyday

hmm... how come v dont have apps like what sg iphong users have??

google around and search on appstores, shud easily find data usage trackers apps to keep in track with their data usage. (exp: SingTel data usage, iBBOM, Broadband on Mobile)

they can key in their mobile number, and package type/monthly data allowance, set their billing due date, etc. and walllllla....

they can simply keep track of their data usage. and receive alert and how much time do they have until the next billing date, so they can fully utilize their data.

Hmm...I solved the problem by using one of the custom ipcc files posted here

because, if we have apps like this. Maxis will:

1. lose money because everyone won't accidentally exceed their data usage.
2. users will make full use and maximize their data usage base on their data plan.

haihz.... almost going off my 500mb limit ady.

oh ya... and another thing. the data package monthly due date is charged based on our originally billing date or at the point/date when we activated our data package ar??

billing date. when you first apply it, they will pro rate(average) it to your monthly bill cycle.

ooo...means my 1st billing for the rm50 for 500mb wont nessasary be rm50??

Anyone here using Digi 3G on their iPhone?

After updating carrier settings via iTunes, it gave me the internet tethering function but I can't seem to edit Cellular Data Network settings anymore, and now I can't use MMS.

Anyone have any idea what can be done?

after choosing mobile internet, i only have

1. Hour
2. Day
3. Check 1Hour/1 Day pass
4. cancel auto renewal
0. back

no status.....
