Sorry, my bad. Didn't read properly  blush.gif

Since it is entry level. New unit is abt USD569. Probably can sell below RM2K

I had problem worse that all of you guys in here.
I ended up having the sub faced in towards the walls.

Yesterday, i held my breath and just "kan kan lai" revamped my entire living room and rotated my whole setup.
Half way through I almost panic and wanted to give up as I'm not sure if it's gonna help me find a better sub and listening position.
From 8~1in the morning, I sat down when it's all done, ran YPAO and re calibrated with a SPL which I borrowed from "Aiman04" and surprisingly, YPAO did a good job, everything was spot on! And it sounded wonderful.

Yes I had a null area, "htkaki" and "Jack from SVS" was spot on.
Now I took down all my acoustic absorbers, and it still sounds great. Too tired to put them back on and experiment on the improvements.

My thanks to "htkaki" and "Aiman04" for the tools and insights.

Glad finally you've got what you're looking for from your sub. How's the sound compare to velo?

And how does PC-12Plus sound against your ex-PB-10NSD eh? tongue.gif

Its in a different league la bro. For sure the pc12+ is way better than the pb10.
As an entry level sub, I would say pb10 would excell in a small room environment, though.
But giving the size of my living room now, pc12+ would give me more headroom as suggested by Jack fr SVS.

No doubt in a different league. First you move up one class from NSD series to Plus series, then further from 10" to 12".

So you're going for PC12+ next?
*
Yup. Still waiting for their final price as they said that I'm entitled to 5% discount.
It's almost a week and still no reply from them.
Cannot tahan the poison fr htkaki.

This is from Xtreme.com

Quote from Ron

"Great. Just to be clear, there IS no more MO going on. If folks at extremeplace or elsewhere believe they are joining in on a group buy maybe you can gently remind them that we’ll be respectfully declining all orders, pending arrival of formal shipments of goods and stable, sustainable prices and full spares and warranty service, FINALLY. This will not take long probably. Again I’ll be shocked if we’re not flowing goods in volume by August."

QUOTE(Lone*Wolf @ Oct 1 2009, 05:54 PM)
Which reminds me of a bad habit i have.  I will turn off the amp (to standby mode) before switching off the mains.  However, my sub shares the same outlet with the amp.  And I do not switch off the sub.  So everytime I switch off the main, the sub will make a 'whisper of a thump'.  Pls comment on this 'practise'.
*
Same goes with me. I've been doing that since the last 2 yrs and no effect on the sub.
IIRC someone did ask this question on the AVS forum abt SVS sub making a whisper of a thump when switching main power w/out switching the sub and the svs guy replied no harm in doing it.
Maybe other sifus can explain more detail.
