both are great sub. After hearing them my sub is reproducing a mere "fart".
IMHO, SVS has the upper hand if the audio track has continuous low freq sound. The SVS has no problem building up pressure with its cylindrical design. Velo's bass felt a little more "out of control" compared to SVS (after the first few low freq reproduction). Maybe it is because Velo is moving air that is not contained. I think SVS's footprint is about the same as the velo, but because the sub height it may be hard to find a good location for it in our HT room that is normally a rectangle, and the front are sitting on 1 of the shorter end. It normally cant sit in between the front as it either be distracting or block the projection screen. Those who are placing their front on 1 of the longer wall of the rectangle room may want to consider the SVS. It could sit snugly on 1 of the corner. I have 1 of the corner ready to house the SVS, but of course the bank balance doesn't allow it. This post has been edited by kiam: Jun 8 2009, 12:38 AM |

lets hope "1 of our forummer fr malaysia" gets the dealership for malaysia. It would be better for us as it may still be a hassle to get it from sg. esp. for those in central and northern malaysia.
