Man, the more I read about this sub, the more crazy i got.  I can wait to order and get this sub.  So far I haven't heard anyone say anything negative about it.  Unbelievable.  I guess i am poison to the bones!!

I sat down from 8pm just now till now testing. Movies after movies.
Before this i had the woofer facing towards my sitting position hopping to yield the max out from this baby. I guess i didn't have enough space for that.
So i faced it towards the left cause the walls are nearer there, and it became all towards one side.
Today It seemed pretty well when i faced it to the right. No complaints so far. Just unsure if directions does make the diff.
Too tired to do the crawl test, are you gonna come down any soon .. help me calibrate it you do ya.

p/s Will facing the sub to my AVR damage the it?
With a velo it tends to trail a lot & shakes the surrounding more, giving it a feel of larger bass, I'm not sure how to put it into words.
With this PB10, it's more focused hence I felt less bass. At louder volume, the pressure is great but not much of audible sound.

I've wrote to SVS on this issue, and they claim that it's just interpreting whats recorded in actual and not rumbling when it's not supposed to.
On some movies, my couch felt like it's being filled up with ants running for it's life. I could feel the rush of armies on horses coming through from left to right.

I can't say much as I've just started using it for a few days. Perhaps other Velo turned SVS users can comment more on this. For me it's just different.

hello all sifu, i am a beginner in home entertainment. i am abt. to set up my av room with husband. The room size 12' x 22' x 10' with plaster ceiling.I and my husband have been following or reading the forum for quite sometimes. My intention setup consists Pioneer amp, Pioneer bluray player,pioneer 60" plasma tv. Speaker will be either B & W or others american speaker with velo or rel or b & W as subwoofer. We will most likely to choose rel or b&W as subwoofer. I need info about subwoofer as i audition rel subwoofer at CMY outlet, seem to be very good and solid. According to CMY for a good subwoofer they specify you don,t need to go so low on frequency. At abt. 20-25 hz is the most suitable range, below that you will not feel the oomph much or rather to low of frequency of 18 and below you will not feel the punchy sound and you feel too hollow. Sure enough they show us the magazine abt. some other more expensive model (JL Audio 22Hz, Velodyne spl 20 hz, earthquake 23hz and most of them in between 20-25hz range) As my husband will most likey to spend most of the times on action movies , so this gentlement from CMY state that too low of freq. of 20 below will most suitable for musical and not suitable for action movies, as he said too low too  hollow will it sound and loose all those punchy feeling. So thanks for reading this text and need all the sifu to comment before parting my hard earn money, thanks.

ya maybe svs u can actually manually adjust the eq for tweak freaks while antimode everything auto for idiots like me..
baru read what can svs eq1 do.. looks like its not for tweak freaks too...

He-he, time to come back down to reality... I think among us forummers the max is around 6k+ for those who bought the Velo SPL1200 or the SVS PB12+.
