"When I launch the program, it'll have an error. "
- What error ?? post up a screen shot...
-i got to know that the dynamic files i use is 32 bit one...

1) Are the list of channels loaded from Internet, or fixed within the software?
-it downloads any new radio list if updated which i didnt....!

2) Is there any way to sort the channels?
-this is the only weakness m gonna make it happen in beta 5 !

3) Is there any way to find out those active/functional channels?
-its kinda impossible... server requests... u nvr noe what is the reply... sometimes 2nd try could be a succes... trying to fix dat too...

"- Let say I selected channel X, which loaded and played successfully, then the OK status of the channel will be uploaded to "Internet"; otherwise this channel will be marked as down. This way other users will be able to know which are the active channels, rather than try it one by one. Of course, this simple idea may not be sufficient to cover all use cases (i.e. a channel has resumed but nobody plays it, then it'll always appears as channel down)."

-this idea is awesome.... the user itself could rate it.. so dat the others will noe about it... dats nice... bt i dont have a stable server to get dat done.... sumore the hosting blocks many things... multiple ftp request cannot... sql oso difficult.... no sponsor oso.... adoi...

- my TODO list is private for me ma.....
- users TODO request list will be published... so far... got few... haven compile it yet...

- channel rating as u said is nice...
- it will be on da list too..!

- the "connec" stuff error has been notified.. and i already fix it... jz waiting to recompile it back...

n i planning to shift to .NET framework based language...
still tinking...

cheers.

yes, it could be done through http request but not all the time it responds d same.... it has been tested previously...! it works but for a super cun internet which has no lag in transfer rate...! will be implemented in beta 5...

-m making the GUI looks fantastic.. workng on it...
- about the sorting.. nothing to worry... in beta 5... many type of
sorting will be available such as genre, type, country, n multiple
link for each station with multithreading streaming...

sql is not difficult... bt the problem is da hosting... adoi..
i got sponsor for my uni forum from my fren who hosts in hostgator..
i will try to ask for another database...

will correct things in beta 5..
work starts today !

cheers.

sorry for the very very late reply guys...!! m working rite now to earn some cash to buy a new PC... because my older celeron pc cant take it anymore...

the new beta 5 would be built under WPF... its partially complete.
with great GUI n animations..

it will take some time to get it done. for windows 7 32 bit it works great.
for win 7 64, it wont work, due to library incompatibilities...

once the beta 5 is complete under WPF, it will be even compatible with other microsoft windows release products..

for the database update. m very sorry, i got no time to do any of dat....
in beta 5, the user itself can suggest n mark working n non-working stations... connecting to web server database..

be patient aite... cheers.

u can take the direct link from here :
( use a download manager )
(DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK !! IT WONT WORK )

BECAUSE THE SERVER KNOWS THAT ITS BEING REDIRECTED FROM ANOTHER PAGE
AND IT WONT ALLOW DATA TRANSFER...!! SMART.. COPY THE LINK AND OPEN ANOTHER
TAB OR A PAGE, THEN PASTE AND PRESS ENTER...

FREE HOSTING MA..... HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS...

OR USE A DOWNLOAD MANAGER

http://blazingradio.co.cc/blazing.zip (requires setup )

or :

(portable type, under beta, bt similar to the top one)

http://blazingradio.co.cc/blazingradiovista.zip
(it says vista cz its built to work on vista n above, definitely works on XP !!)

cheers.

ooo... no no.. its not about keep trying..
Blazing is smart in detecting codecs needed..

bt in this case..
some of the radio stations converted their streaming to
octoshape based...!

where it became peer to peer based streaming instead the server
itself taking the reposibility to stream..

so, beta 4 cant handle it yet so far...
cz octoshape uses media player.. beta 5 can stream it fine..
i hav already tested it..

jz dat its not complete to release yet...

cheers.

i told u b4, most of malaysian radio station converted to Octoshape based streaming which is peer to peer... beta 4 cant stream peer to peer.. even winamp cant.!

Time out got many possiblities :
1) Radio station is shit down
2) Ur connection is not good
3) timeout settings is set to low.. (change in settings part)
4) octoshape streaming

many complains this.. bcz of that, beta 5 will come with user comments,
meaning the new users will noe wich radio station works n which do not..!

i would like to have more comments on how to upgrade..
all the names will be included in the credit part!! especially for LYN users oni !

cheers.

yes, almost all of dem.. because many radio station start ripping every radio station and well guess it overloads the streaming server..

hence, peer to peer is the best solution to balance the heavy load..
