had planned to buy a new apartment (built around 1 year) but recently i noticed that there were some cracks the lower part of the apartment (ie, 5th floors. there are around 19th floor). the cracks appear near the windows.

there is also a construction nearby (a new block of apartment). will there be any problems in the future? considering that it was newly built.

kindly advice. Tq.

Any cracks is never normal.
Check whether it's a deep crack or just paint peel off.

If it's a crack; tell the developer about it. Defect warranty should be normally 18 months. (might be wrong in that)

sorry, i did not describe it correctly.

the cracks are not inside the building. it is visible outside the building. i'm not sure how deep is the crack though. but i can see that they had kind of sealed it with something like cement (dark greyish colour).

is it located at the beam or just the walls?
it could be a minor crack only on the pythong (surface cement) which is not a serious thing however if its the core structure itself (beams, columns) then it might be more serious.

providing a picture will be helpful though.

correction, the block that i planned to buy does not have much crack. the one that has a lot of crack is just beside mine. but there's a small bridge connects the two block.

please follow the link as i only have flickr to upload my photos:

pics

cracks are normally in the lower units and the windows. went through the beams and there are no cracks at all.

kindly advice. tq.

Wow looks pretty bad, if me I'll look for another, even if not same block.
