it kinda make me think, why rosea tend to burrow when their slings, and adult they tend to stay outside hiding on barks.... coz my rosea sling dig quite a deep burrow.... and my adult one just staring into darkness...
*
most sling tend to burrow, imo i think its an instinct to keep themselves safe from predators

Does dat mean slow grower hav longer life?
*
probably, but it also depends on alot more other things, for example, how much u feed them, the temperature the humidity, etc. ohya also depends on sex, i read somewhere once there is a g.rosea own by a guy which up to date, the rosea is over 20 years old

QUOTE(HuonHengChai @ Aug 6 2009, 06:55 PM)
Just spoke to a veteran jungle guide regarding tarantulas and it is clear that the population of tarantulas has significantly decreased. Our government ain't doing anything about it and if this is going to continue, there ain't gonna be anymore tarantulas in the wild.
Once again, I would like to suggest only to buy captive bred specimen.
Anyone who is interested in assisting me in a field research some time end of the year do PM me. If you are looking for profit, please do not bother.
*
field research as only if we are in KL or we can also participate if we are in other states?
