QUOTE(JonC @ May 18 2009, 04:51 PM) I have some concern about the durability of the Adidas Salas as my previous pair of Sala 4 lasted about 5 months+ only before the sole started to go. Then again i'm quite hard on my futsal shoes lah. Have to add that the Salas are very comfortable shoes. Same here, before this I used to have a pair of Sala, super comfortable but the whole shoe is like shredded now, holes in the top, shoelace koyak, holes in the sole etc. Very very fast rosak. The current range of sala the colorways =/ all look so bad especially the brownish one Hopefully can pick up my T5 by this week or next

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ May 19 2009, 05:55 PM) ic.. good la.. MV IV is definately better looking than MV V.. but last time i tried the MV V it fits my feet nicely.. the shape is good.. but i haven't tried MV IV..
Dunno abt the MV V fit, but imo it looks really ugly. Mv IV though, best I've worn. Very nice fit cause the top is thin and it's quite narrow.

Finally got my yellow T5, pretty comfy even if I haven't worn it to actually play yet.
Worn it today to play, something I find weird. It's probably my feet but the right side has some space in the front, which means my big toe is not at the very tip of the boot.
What I find is my shots scoop up alot more and my toe felt like it was bleeding although it was just really red under the nail.
Left side though fits like a glove.

Saw the black mercurial already. Pyramid Nike has some. Not vapor though.
Boots and futsal turf shoes. My favourite one so far of the MV V's

QUOTE(nshady @ Aug 3 2009, 02:25 PM) I'm thinking of getting a lower-end football boots. Budget would be around rm 200, any recommendation? I think I will choose between Nike Mercurial Veloci IV, Nike Total 90 Shoot and Adidas Adinova. I love short passing, long and through as well as some shooting. I do dribble too. Looks like the total 90 shoot has enhanced Shotshield technology which is designed to aid in shooting and passing accuracy. Maybe a little weigthy? Interested in Total 90 Shoot II ? Might sell mine for around 180. Size UK 8.5, still very new. White one.

Anyone got any idea where I can find older Mercurials? Talaria or Vapor 2 or 3?
Buying older boots I think more value for money.

Hmm... okay I understand the advice. But I'm talking about old unopened boots, not worn ones I hope you understood that? Like maybe the previous version of a current boot, maybe not "in fashion" anymore, the price would drop no? So for the same price I'm paying for a higher quality boot right?
Alright, anyways, for RM300 which is my budget now, what do you guys think is the most value for money/quality boot? If position matters then I mostly play attack, wing or striker normally.
Weighing up my options. For some time I was thinking maybe between the Predator Absolion or F30i, any better options?

QUOTE(jackanory @ Aug 24 2009, 01:21 AM) try the the nike tiempo air legend 2.. for 300 bucks (or slightly more) u could find a 1st grade one.. ive been using a pair regularly for close to a year now & the leather still holds well even after a playing in the wet.. very durable & comfortable.. and best of all (for me) is the fact that it has standard studs instead of blades.. but then again it might not be to ur liking, so i suggest that u go out & try a pair 1st.. i somehow find the adidas' shape to be more suited for someone with long & narrow feet.. rather than for most of us asians with short & wide feet.. Tiempo air legend 2 is the one Tevez and Fabregas were wearing right? Iirc one of the colourways was White with grey tick, and then they had a totally blacked out one. Alright, cool thx for the advice I'll see if I can pick up a pair maybe in Pertama complex or something.

Saw quite a few preds going for really really cheap, discounted prices. Didn't really buy cause I felt it wuld be like impulse buy.
Current preds, black white blue ones, 50% off at 1U adidas, probably weird sizes but if you can wear, was going for like 359 only.
Haha sadly last day of sale adi so doubt it'll still be 50% off.
Regarding mercurials, I've worn them before and yeah they're pretty comfortable, I don't know if my foot is considered wide or not, but if I had to guess I'd say pretty wide. Not looking particularly now but just looking out for a bargain.
Gotta go to pertama or bb plaza adi to see whether any good deals.

Wow, the black ones looks sweet!
Regarding T7, at first they brought them in, then I think after the first batch sold out they stopped, cause I stopped seeing them after the yellow batch. T5 is good enough though, I have a pair and they're really comfy.

C'mon la... you gotta come in with something more concrete than baseless accusations. If you think ur "source" is right you gotta backup ur argument instead of posting some statement like that.

Found myself agood deal that day. First I went Midvalley, thinking of picking up football boots if I saw a good price.
Nike had some sale, Total 90 Laser II and Shoot II going for really cheap, Super Ligera 260 only and Legend II was goin for 190. Mercurial Talaria 260 also.
Thought wanna try get the Legend or Ligera but ended up no size.
Anyways, few days later I went KLCC Nike, Ligera and Talaria were in stock.
Got the Talaria for 260, yes it's the ugly orange one but but RM260 I think I'm paying for the performance of Talaria. Quite pleased.

QUOTE(Simon181818 @ Oct 8 2009, 12:05 AM) ... hm.... i doubt u'll be able to find it tbh. urs is even older than what i was looking for (vapor 3 and 4), and i had no success finding em. regarding the absolion... after buying a pair of umbros with the band for the tongue its almost a rule for me not to buy that type again. malaysian playing surfaces means the band will break fast. perhaps look into buying the nike super ligera or air legend?

Yea T-5 is pretty comfy adi. I'm loving mine now, only for some weird reason the right shoe lace started to shred really fast whereas the left side nothing wrong. But then shoe lace easy to replace ah.
