I have some concern about the durability of the Adidas Salas as my previous pair of Sala 4 lasted about 5 months+ only before the sole started to go. Then again i'm quite hard on my futsal shoes lah.

use shoe polish to restore the moisture into the leather to keep them soft. most probably the boot got wet and you dried it under the sun, hence the leather hardened.

Anyone with experience wearing the nike total 90 laser 2? Thinking of making the switch to them from my puma king execs after close to 3 years of wear and tear. Heard they're comfy and fits wider feet well, compared to the newer adidas.

QUOTE(giotto @ Jan 22 2010, 05:13 PM) JonC, I should be able to get the laser 2 at even cheaper price! If you're looking at new boots, try the older Adidas Predator Powerserve, and best part is they have the widefit version. You can buy them cheap at Adidas warehouse outlet in Summit at RM365 per pair. |

Also bear in mind, most Nike are made of hi-tech artificial leather materials while most adidas are still using leather - softer and better "feel" but won't last if not cared properly. I'm talking about the boots of course. Have to agree though if ya talking about the futsal shoes...... my adinova indoors leather uppers are doing well, the sole is a different story!
And, yup like giotto said, it depends on how abusive the player is on their shoes / boots also. This post has been edited by JonC: Jan 23 2010, 09:57 AM |

QUOTE(giotto @ Jan 23 2010, 01:58 PM) Don't make me go to Ipoh with my Nike Tiempo Natural and kick your Balak arse. Eric, sent to the cobblers for them to stick it back and stitch it. Should last you quite a while. That's what i did with my Kings.Speaking of which, my Nike boots is starting to fail. Last week we had a mud match and after washing it and drying it, the freaking glue is not sticking well anymore. 3 year old boots is gone. |

QUOTE(slyyoung @ Jan 25 2010, 11:19 AM) Which is why if you are lazy to clean your boots after a game, make sure you play at GIS. Rain or shine, your boots are guaranteed to be clean, haha. Very true! This post has been edited by JonC: Jan 25 2010, 05:42 PM |

dirt will get into your boot and also the insoles will discolour due to the friction with your socks/foot.

QUOTE(giotto @ Feb 5 2010, 02:45 PM) To those who has not seen JonC, he looks and plays like Wayne Rooney. He's exactly the type of player that you'd fear running towards you coz by the time you decide to tackle him, he's already behind you. Sorry giotto, me no Wayne Looney...... and i dun even support the team he plays for! JonC, its my pleasure to have played on the same pitch as you. QUOTE(gto87 @ Feb 6 2010, 02:53 AM) Hurm. Wayne and Cesc? Interesting. Hope can play with you guys. I'm just a noob in futsal. Do arrange Futsal matches regularly. I'll try my best to participate if nothing kacau me on that day. Glad to be able to help gto87. The best tip i can give you is always go for registered mail and insuarance! It's more expansive but better be safe then sorry especially if the boots you're paying for is a few hundred bucks. Generally, most stuff for personal consumption below RM500 will be excuse from import duties.Anyway, JonC, I'm very interested in buying a shoe from outside Malaysia but I'm afraid of the possibility of losing it during postage. Any tips? Added on February 6, 2010, 3:13 amBTW, anybody know where to find Kelme futsal shoes in malaysia. Outside, Kelme Indonesia is the nearest I know but a bit harder when it comes to testing the size for the shoe~ adeh~ |

QUOTE(giotto @ Feb 6 2010, 10:08 AM) And we aren't that great in futsal, just enjoy the game. I'd be more than happy if i have 1/100th of Cesc skills. As for JonC, he's got 1/10th of Wayne's skills. Must play with him! Oi! I'm have not even 1/1000th of his skills. Oh yah gto87, dun forget to factor in the postage charges when u decide to get them boots from overseas. Some smart buggers will charge cheap for them but slaughter you nicely with expansive shipping and handling charges! |

Anyone interested in getting a pair of Nike Total 90 Laser II - Limited Edition Orange color, sized UK7 / US8? I got for about RM350 and willing to let it go for about RM175. Used for less than 10 times and in pretty good condition - 80%. Comes with the ori shoe bag.
