Hi guys, I intend to get one 5800 for myself. Just wanna ask if there's any known problem with 5800?

I will be getting a tube for myself soon, does the problem only affect the first batch or even the current model suffer from the light leakage?

Just saw you guys discussing about the card and then decided to check on mine. Its a class 2 sad.gif. Just bought mine on Monday and it is an Avaxx set. Haiz. Will try to fill it up and see how it goes.

I'll be trying that LOL. My brother bought the phone same time as mine. I went to check his just now, its a class 6! Not fair sad.gif. Time to check the other unit that's with my gf later on. No wonder he was telling me that his card was copying very fast where else mine was slow as snail when I was copying my music in.

What's the speed like do C4 and C6 cards get when transfering files over to 5800 using USB mode? I'm getting like 1MB/sec on my bundled C2 8GB card dry.gif. (Trying to fill it up to see if it has any problems and will be going to Nokia service center if it does occur sad.gif )

Currently filling my card up with songs up to see how the problem is like when the card is filled up, if it is there I'm going to pay a visit to NCC today lol.

Its my original 8gb class 2 card that came with my avaxx set, and I've formatted using the phone's file manager before, so I think its ok right?

So I'm down to 48mb after filling up the 8gb card. Will see what happens to my phone from now on. What are the symptoms like btw? Just the remove card thingy, and card corrupting?

5800 compatibility issue with C2 cards, will it occur if I were to leave it on idle? or do I have to be do stuffs with the memory card let's say listening music or watching videos?

The 3 Avaxx units I bought on Monday, two units came with C2, one unit with C6.

And so I was thinking how the speed differences could be like so I compared the transfer speed of single file through the USB mode.

2.2MB/s versus 1.6MB/s

My C2 almost completely filled up, so far haven't encountered compatibility problems with memory card yet *fingers crossed*

Just now when I used the USB mode on another 5800XM with C2 card, there's the error pop up that Vista shows when you unplug a thumdrive without safely removing it.

And then the files inside were missing (the files that came with the package, the free videos) and there was a 1gb .dat file named P at the root. Is this how the corruption looks like? That memory card wasn't even fill up at all yet.

My unit is 200mb or so free right now, morning till now using it normally still ok.

My GF unit on the other hand, when I plugged into my pc through USB i noticed that p.dat file that is 1gb huge, didn't know that was the corrupted memory sign. Formatted it since there was nothing important inside anyways. If corrupted already, is there ways to retrieve the files?

My unit has a class 2 memory card and about 200mb left on free space. So far so good. But my GF's 5800 also has a class 2 memory but only about 1GB used, also faced the corrupted memory card already ._. formatted for her and told her to fill it up this time and see if it occurs. Haiz, suay to get a C2.

How did you explain the problem to them? Do you need to prove that it is incompatible like showing the problem?
