Congratz on v15.


For those of you whom are complaining about Ovi Suite not detecting your tube, how come you guys don't use the Nokia PC Suite? The Ovi Suite is the one that comes with the mini-DVD in the package right? Honestly for me, the day I bought my tube I went to www.nokia.com.my and downloaded the latest Nokia PC Suite. Its been working fine for me till today.

There is no difference. The instructions on the FP is the instructions to install the purchased Garmin.

that is not the firmware problem. It is your memory card problem. You eject your memory card and try again to test it.

Btw I just formatted my tube again.. ahh feels good to have a virgin phone. Can see the pure 77.8mb in the phone memory. LoL. Garmin here I come again.


Btw for those whom bought your 'Licensed Garmin' from those handphone shops, you'r being ripped off. Because original Garmin XT is USD$99 and thats about RM360 you think Malaysia shops have license distribution? Think again.

And secondly, if you want to know where your Garmin license is, its in your E:\Garmin\SW.UNL so if in case you did happen to 'buy' your Garmin, please make sure to keep a backup of this file otherwise your RM will be wasted once u accidently format your memory card.

Are you sure you have installed it the correct way? Installed the support files? Installed the free basemap?

I think its because you are still junior member. Once you hit 500 post and become senior member you will get additional perks. So.. stick around and contribute more to the tube thread. Very soon you will get there.

Flash Lite 3.1 Update for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (our tube default is using Flash Lite 3.0 even if you are under v21)



Go to Apps > App. Update

Basically it will update via FOTA. or shall I say UOTA (Update Over The Air)

I don't know if its v21 firmware or the Flash Lite 3.1 update but now the Python UA Changer works for YouTube as well

If you are talking about FW, it takes only 2 minutes to download. And about 3 minutes to let it install the FW.

If while downloading it corrupted ntg much will really happen. But if ur phone suddenly crash while installing then it might brick your phone. Still, I suggest you do it at home than a public wifi place like starbucks.. etc

For this Flash Lite update I don't think so. If really no chance to get wifi I guess u have to wait for it to be included in the next upcoming firmware update via NSU.


In phone memory = themes / apps that you use everyday
In memory card = games / apps that you don't use frequently / songs / movies


Reason why? When you format your phone, a fresh phone only got 77.6mb of memory free. As you use the phone, the space become less and less. So phone memory is very precious. An example of an app that I use everyday is the Free iSMS so I install that to phone memory.

So why themese and apps you use everyday?
Themes > Because when you connect via Mass Storage, ur memory card will be in use and will disable the theme if its installed in memory card.
Apps you use everyday > Because the data rate is faster if stored in the phone memory than memory card so the app runs better.

BUT sometimes apps that you don't use everyday MUST be installed to phone memory otherwise it don't work. Such as the Python UAChanger...

Bro, his issue is that the theme is not even in the Installed Apps list.

I had this problem. For me I reformatted the whole phone and start again.

But if u want to be experimental, you can try the Python Uninstaller.

Yes follow what icechiller says.... you need to rename your drnightmare voice into one of the preset voices and overwrite it

Stability issues and smtg about .h264 codec flv videos. Not sure.

My product code is for APAC yet the update is available for both NSU and FOTA.. Actually you have to keep trying because at one point, even mine said no update available. I tried abt few times then only can.

Talking about input mode, they should have a variable input more in future firmware updates.

Like for example when input ALPHABETS I can choose QWERTY while NUMBERS I can choose alphanumeric layout. Cos like for example most of the time I use QWERTY but when want to key in the time for alarm, then the QWERTY keyboard pop-up like a bit troublesome.. i just need the numbers not the whole keyboard.
