I also encounter problem (Music library corruption) when using Class2 card but never even once when using Class4.

Anywhere to get Class4 16GB? Amazon selling 2X price for Class4 compared to Class2 for 16GB microsd.

Actually can silent the camera shutter and even the red indicator. Use rompatcher and script. Google for it. U need to hack it first though.

Anyway, since my 5800 connected now, easier for me to explain it.

Save the script as RMP, place it under "E:/Patches" and then enable it in Rompatcher.

For camera silencing, copy these and save it as 101F8809.txt.

Put the file under "C:\Private\10202be9" and restart phone. To silence the shutter tone, disable "Warning tones" in Profile.

Both tested on hacked V21 5800.

I faced similar problem when just got my 5800. I tried playing flv files but it say not supported. Then i tried installing flashlite again, that time it actually proceed successfully. Try visit youtube.com for flv files.

I think it's a bug.

I thought network based positioning is free, since it use communication tower to triangulate. I never got charged for that, only few cents if enabled agps.

Edit: just checked, priority for positioning method are bluetooth>agps>built-in gps>network based. So unless u disable internal gps, i dont think u will ever use network based positioning.

Handy shell has memory leak based on my few days experienced with it.

chicaman, if u're adventures, just clean the dust yourself. Look at those assembly video on youtube, u can try. I opened mine without any damages (except scratches to plectrum). Once cleaned, assemble back, look like new

I suspect i still need to clean the screen time to time since the seal to prevent dust under screen not that good

Software modification wont void the warranty unless YOU YOURSELF tell them u hack it. Only hardware modification/alteration will void the warranty...

Hard reset will wipe out all hacks/mods since u cant altered the ROM section (place where downloaded firmware stored, drive F). Unless u use hacked firmware which afaik, not common.

1. What BT device? Read the manual for that particular device. Normally involved pressing certain buttons to initiate pairing. If pairing with other phones, just set both devices to VISIBLE instead of HIDDEN.

2. Use free Opera Mini. Better in all possible ways compared to Nokia browser except for flash video support.

Hard reset use button, no need for display to operate
Press and hold GREEN + RED + CAMERA when powering up for hard reset. On older Symbian, it's * + 3 + GREEN.

3.2MP cam on 5800XM nothing to shout bout but i really LOVE it. Even more than N95's 5MP Really love the macro capabilities, which imo seem like capable of very short focus distance (around 3in).

Noise control really poor on 5800. Sometimes very visible even on scenery photo, in bright daylight... Probably sensor limitation. I yet to try taking photos with lens cover off but imo wont affect much and not practical in real life.

Very good imo, even when compared to sony s630f. refer to head-fi, i wrote summary there.

Btw, Nokia 5530 announced. Sexy metal design and spec quite similar to 5800 except for smaller screen, smaller body, lower battery cap, new carousal interface on home screen and maybe no GPS.

I only applied once with some cheap sp and it was a success. No air bubble or dust trapped.

When applying sp, make sure minimum air movement and humid condition. Another tip is buy those washable and reuseable sp.

Dont wait till it dry completely. Just flip it till only small amount of water on it, directly applied on the screen. Slowly push out water to the sides. Iirc, there's video on youtube on this.
