Seems like everyone using garmin GPS, just to remind your that
deactivate the Assisted-GPS and Network based in the positioning method.

Always used Integrated GPS only, and it should be enough.(I know it kind of hard to get signal, but be patient, otherwise with the two features on, you gonna get heart attack when the bills come)

depends which u prefer wait 20mins to wait for it lock or get a fast lock when ur rushing or urgent.

So use always ask it will ask u to use data or not.

I use a-gps but always ask so when i am rushing or urgent i will press yes and the cost is like about 10cent and u get like near instant lock.

if i have alot time i just on it and leave my phone for it slow lock.

GPS is free but due to the lower end hardware it takes the phone alittle longer to lock. So to speed up that lock you pay alittle bit more money for it to speed up that process

Bro, each lock on with A-GPS is only 6kb.

6kb is only 6 cents dude.

I rather spend 6 cents than waste my battery which I need to charge back also is more than 6 cents.

yeah remember to turn off ...the first time i use the gps , i thought why so fast and all ... then is the agps is turn on... huhuhu my dad scold me coz the phone bill shot up .. lucky apologize is accepted. =)

Currently if im using nokia map or garmin, i get quite fast locking to my position.

Can you guys help me how to check if using A-GPS or internal GPS or etc ? How to change the settings ? Not because it is cheap or wat, just want to know more about the settings and how to change it if any.

u have to go at "location". this setting not in GARMIN software..

I thought network based positioning is free, since it use communication tower to triangulate. I never got charged for that, only few cents if enabled agps.

Edit: just checked, priority for positioning method are bluetooth>agps>built-in gps>network based. So unless u disable internal gps, i dont think u will ever use network based positioning.
