Sup guys Been away from thread for months due to work. Need some opinions on Tamron 17-50 F2.8 ( http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/940433/+40 ) Im thinking to have it as replacement of my SAL18-70 since its faster and good bargain(?). *But its not a macro I like to shoot under low light condition (indoors). Is that a good lens for beginner like me. Any other lens worth checking around the same price level? Thanks

Thanks guys. I do have my F58, buts just considering in case if the batts goes kaput CZ16-80 is nice although higher F-stops, but its no where near the price range of that Tammy Hi amadeo, Does the vignatting and soft-corners really of an issue at wide 17mm as what most reviews pointed out? Well, i shoot for fun, but would like to know if it a major distaction to you as event/weds photographer

I got it from a seller in the garage sales section by the nick mitmivec. Alpha mout with 6months warranty going for 1.4+k @amadeo So far i havent tried 17mm yet, maybe today evening, since its gonna be a sunny afternoon. Maybe can see the notorious vignetting, but i'll post up some pics.. It surprises me that despite its not a macro lens, the nearest distance to the object is about the same as the 1870 kitlens. Its a little heavy over the sal1870, and darn if you mount F58, so heavy wooo

QUOTE(Soony @ May 30 2009, 12:27 PM) Woots.. nice.. but is it me or the colour tends to lean against yellowish that area.. You are correct, but thats because of my WB settings messed up under low tungten lighting, and crappy PP too. To be fair, i'll try to take few shots under broad daylight today

F2.8 bokeh yey. F4 is sharp

Few post ago i posted a test shot of my tammy 1750F2.8, and few commented it looks yellowing. Tonight i tried some shits at skypark, and indeed its yellowish under not-so-yellowish tungten lightings. How do I fix it aside for manual WB using K? Anyway, Skypark T3: *WB fixed
