QUOTE(albnok @ May 20 2009, 02:18 AM) vandechrome, but the A700 and D90 both have a 3" 920K 640x480 LCD screen! i think the new LED technology will help in giving true black for LCD display I find my A700 and A900 screen matches my calibrated CRT monitor and photo printer in both saturation, WB and gamma*. * gamma = midtone brightness, drag the middle slider in Levels in Photoshop to see the effect Remember, desktop or laptop LCDs are usually colder. thisiskj just ran his laptop through a Spyder Colorvision and his screen is now a lot warmer than before (it used to be about 2500K, now about 4500K.) Also, LCDs can never display true black, only a dim light that tries to be black. (Unless the LCD is off, hehe.) So that's why your midtones and shadows are boosted and you see a lot more noise on a LCD... but when you print it's so much darker and less noisy. I find the A700 and A900 screens to have very good saturation and blackness unlike so many LCD screens I have used at work. |

QUOTE(joker_jr @ May 22 2009, 10:41 AM) Guys.. i'm using uniross hybrio... works well with my flash.... no prob.... getting another set for my macro ring flash.....I just bought GP 2500 rechargeable battery for my f42 yesterday. It was okay when I charge n play around for 1st time last night. Recyling time oso not bad, but the juice empty already after a few shoot. After second charged, My f42 show that this battery empty event thought I just charge. WTH.... Added on May 22, 2009, 11:26 am QUOTE(shootkk @ May 22 2009, 10:33 AM) Not much different. Thing is you are actually doing a slow sync flash but you need to control your shutter speed yourself. I normally shoot in M mode and adjust accordingly. For example in a banquet hall, I would find the proper shutter speed and flash power setting and then shoot using that setting. thanks for the explaintaton.... really need to try and error.... fully agreed with that..... thanks man. Most I need to do is adjust the flash power either a little up or down to fit some situations. Outdoors under the sunlight, I would usually adjust the flash power depending on the situation. Trial and error. You need to know how slow your shutter can go before you get things like blurry pics due to either subject movement or hand shake. If you can no longer adjust the shutter speed lower then try upping your ISO setting so for the same period of exposure time, you can get a brighter pic. Of course when you crank up your ISO, you must remember to adjust your flash power down a little if you are using manual flash setting. Else leave the flash to TTL and you should be fine.
