there's a product by gatsby, u can get at guardian or watson, it's a black film which can absorb oil very well. try to look for gatsby product in a small white box. the film is black but after u rub it to oily skin, it will absorb the oil and become transparent. very effective, but it absorbs oil only, doesnt control oil production from ur face. so if ur face is the type which becomes oily quickly, then need to use it often la.. it's 70 pieces for about rm7. should buy one and always keep in ur purse/pocket, so that later if want to take picture or anything, can always use that and ur face wont look shiny.

TS - Having a shinny (oily) face looks to me that the skin condition of your face might be lacking of water, hence buying any oil-reduce/removal products might not get into the root issue of your skin condition. If this problem really bothers u a lot and u'd want to cure it seriously, I'd suggest you get professional help. Brands that I trust is Loreal, Clinque, La Pairie, Shesido, but the first one dont have a counter wiht prof. help. I get my problems solved with two MLM products then now i m using a mixture of almost all brands here without any issues anymore.
The major thing i wish to share with you is that: dont give up/fed up: The problem on ur face can be solved and your skin type will be changed from oily to normal with proper attention and 'faith' U may pm me for more details just in case i dont come here anymre |

QUOTE(iwan_smtk @ May 14 2009, 01:15 PM) this is the fastest way to wiping out the oil..some said that by using the film, depends on how u use it. u're not supposed to wipe ur face, just dab the thing on the oily part. and if scared on infection, use different film for each part. my fren wanted to save money, so he use one film for the whole face. one film about the size of credit card. i dont think it's the ideal solution to have non-oily face, but it's helpful to carry a pack along especially when there's a function, party, etc.it will worsen your face because technically we will spreading a germ/dirt all over our face.. dunno whether it's true or not.. |

It sounds like other cosmetics products with Girls can do it too. A small size of paste to be carry in pocket and squeeze out a little will be able to matte the whole face. It is not a new product. This post has been edited by secretsquirrel: May 15 2009, 08:50 AM |

what I watched from 女人我最大 is u can't "overuse" the oil control film... use once or twice a day is ok, but if u use it like over 5 times a day, ur skin will receive an alarm that ur face is not having enuff oil, thus it produces even more oil instead...

Make sure that you are properly hydrated. Keep your face well-moisturised. Dry skin actually cause more oil production, causing your face to turn oily.
I used to have very very oily skin, but when I start to make sure that my skin is properly moisturised, my skin conditions improved. Make sure that your moisturiser is light not too heavy or creamy which can cause clogged pores. I use, Clean & Clear facial cleanser and Laneige Pore clearing range. Biore sunblock milk also helps to control my sebum production. |

QUOTE(Eguy1314 @ May 13 2009, 03:02 PM) Can i know what product you all use to keep oily face away and also make your face less shiny when exposed to light ( oil reflect light ) ?? Hi Eguy,I hv overly active oily face too. I hv tried many many so-called 'oil control' products before but all seems to unable to help me a lot. But recently i came across "ZA's Pore Smoother" powder. It was just launched recently. I bought it at Watson during sales and after (10 or 15% not sure) discount it's abt $29++. It's quite small & round in shape & metallic blue colour (the packaging, i mean). Well...i hv not tried other expensive (& branded) products before but.... i can tell U that....after using this "Pore Smoother", it instantly absorb the oil on my face and stays matte for many hours to come. Even can reduce the size of your pores too. Actually for that kind of price ($30++ if no discount) and so little only inside the packaging...it is considered expensive too lor Those 'absorbent' films are just for very temporary solution only and within an hour or 2, the oil will come back to yr face very quickly. Try it once, Eguy. And hope you will agree with me later. I hope it will work on U too. |

QUOTE(Eguy1314 @ May 13 2009, 04:02 PM) Can i know what product you all use to keep oily face away and also make your face less shiny when exposed to light ( oil reflect light ) ?? You need to avoid using cream base products at your t-zone 1st, preferably water based products. eg, moisturiser in water base will be better.. and avoid overdose at t-zone. But you can't use oil controlling products too often, nt everyday and not too much too. For me, I use water base moisturiser as well, and try to get essence product. Essence helps to repair your inner skin, while moisturiser helps to repair outer skin.. I apply essence on day, and moisturiser during nite and my skin improve more.. =D My friend has this kind of case, she used too many of oil controling products, and now her outer layer of skin appears to be dried. To have a lil bit of oil on skin does no harm as well, this control the blemishes and pimples. If too oily, will cause blemishes and pimples, if totally no oil, will cause dry skin.. So need be careful and friednly to our skin. Try to use mild products as well.. I have a few products (from beauty salon) which helps to control oil, but it's a bit mild 1.. pm me if u're interested.. |

Once or twice?I dabbed the blotting film like twice per day I believe that having healthy skin is from within, the eating diet. Cleansing your skin too frequent may dry out the skin causing it to be scaly which is kinda ugly. I wear makeup to work and need to wash it when prayer time comes once after lunch time and once before heading home. I use a very mild cleansing wash / soap like Cetaphil. Look at the bright side, from the research they did, oily-skinned people tend to get wrinkles a bit later than those who have non-oily skin |
