QUOTE(pikacu @ Jun 11 2009, 01:56 PM) but it is differ case with my gamecube game..which i can see the obvious fat-stretched screen how do you achieve full-screen for NGC games on Wii with 16x9 display? RE4 NGC has letterbox borders all around and looks horrible... yes i'm awared and have the Wii edition but i would like to know for the benefit of my other NGC games.

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Jun 16 2009, 02:55 PM) Does GC RE4 come with 16:9 option? nope.... the back of the box doesn't say progressive scan either but when i try the hold B button trick, it works so maybe there is progressive scan. the output image is still really really blur though. will try Wii edition at some point since it has true widescreen and progressive scan. QUOTE(pikacu @ Jun 16 2009, 03:36 PM) maybe he mean "stretched" 4:3 .. dunno what that means, the game doesn't fill up the entire screen like Wii games ..... i was expecting the Wii to upscale to fullscreen like BC-PS3. right now it looks like GBA games when played on the DS if u have tried before. Eternal darkness has 16:9 option?? i can live with abnormal proportions right now for the sake of filling the entire screen. looks like Wii edition is the only way to go for RE4, would love to do a comparisons with upscaled RE4 on the ps3 but i don't have a ntsc/uc of that game...
if the NGC edition is any indication, re4 looks awful on LCD tv.

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Jun 16 2009, 03:51 PM) Added on June 16, 2009, 3:56 pmI don't P.Scan mode has anything to do with wide screen mode right? I don't have LM to test out (and you are selling yours to paige ) so I'm not sure about that game. But Eternal Darkness allows me to access WS mode from the game option instead of running on P.Scan alone. i'm no techie but i'm on the same page with gundam here....p scan and widescreen are two different things. right now i'm trying to get re4 to display WS on LCD but it seems only the ps2 and wii edition are true WS.

another great list.... yakuza 2 looks good on 16x9 LCD with the right proportions and everything. as good as on CTV though it really isn't saying much. it's not true p scan but the box says it's.

QUOTE(pikacu @ Jun 16 2009, 04:34 PM) Nice find gundam...it seems LM got 480p but not 16:9 ...tested on SSB:Melee/FF CC too just now...only got 480p...not 16:9 there are very few list of Wii games don't support 16:9 correctly (mostly the game of earlier wii era) but ur telly will stretch the 4:3 image to WS anyways so if you can live with odd proportions, then there is no worries for u. from gundam's earlier list, only 12% of existing NGC games support 16:9... even TP which came out later for NGC than Wii does not have 16:9 support, very baffling since i only have NGC version.

i rather have wrong screen ratio but filled entire screen than correct ratio but only take up a portion of the screen. gundam going to test 480p games tonight? Twin Snakes looked good on my new display, u should try that and ED too.

don't get the joke..... anyway, i'm going to debunk what gundam said earlier because i find the capdase components to be perfectly adequate. sure it's not official nintendo ones but they seems alright to me. but do order from PA instead of buying from bernard like me.

wavebird's got no rumble?!? but the NGC rumble is oh so good.... i'm more concerned about the additional weight, the wire NGC controller is dy quite a beast of a controller.

ookie thks again grey.... btw what card size is most ideal if it's just for backing saves and VC games? 1GB? i see what u mean by sdhc now, don't think i'll be using it for the wii ... the only reason i think of why anyone would need such a big card is for illegal purposes. ouch, i get very paranoid about leaving those lid open after use.... i also discovered those lids are not the most ideal for open/close anymore once you place your wii horizontal, unless there is a horizontal stand/mat tat can make things easier. well, are they?
