my fav is http://www.metacritic.com/games/wii/. it is damn good coz it consolidates the reviews. i don't pay attention to the score reviewers give though, except if it is below 50/100 (nobody gives a good game below 50)

2 malaysian bad habits that i am disgusted: piracy and littering.

most games for the wii are family games. mature games i wouldn't tak banyak, but ratio wise u can't beat ps3/360. then u have the kiddy/'please don't ever make games like this' games. if i were to put a ratio on family:kiddy/silly:mature games it would look like this:
50:30:20

agree... ps3/360 even though have other accessories beside normal controllers... but their games are mainly for their normal controller... wii is different... coz its unique way of user interface with motion detection have both ups and downs... but the downs i think we already know... the ups... it has games that only playable in a wii... not pc, not ps3, and not even 360.... heck we can even workout with wii if we so damn bz with our everyday work... even though i say this... but until now i still feel in choosing which console for me.... (i only owned the Micro Genius... not even a PS1)

I strongly believes every console has its winning point.
On which console to choose , its all up to individual preference.

My decision on purchasing a Nintendo Wii , its becos i can't live without Mario games ( refer to only video games ) especially the ones like New Super Mario Bros or even Super Paper Mario.

hello, i am new to nintendo wii and know nothing about it. i am recently discovered the fun of playing the wii and intended to bring one home to malaysia from uk. but as i read the messages published, i felt quite confused... since as i know that wii games are region locked, is there any solution to it and do i need to do anything, for example, get the wii modified or otherwise in order if i want to play games that purchased in malaysia? thank you

if you want to get a wii from the UK, i think it's ntsc coded, right?
anyway, if it's not then it should be PAL

whichever it is, if you really want to play "malaysia" games...you will need to get it modded...just bring it to any shops and i believe that they will do it for a fee

if you want to support legit games, just buy your games according to the coded region and you'll play fine

i started off with the wii. up to today i am satisfied with it because its really is a family bonding tool. but deep inside me i know i am missing something. i play pc games too, but i use my pc for work, so i can't belasah the pc with games only. besides, my pc is coming on 2 years, and new games can't play on it anymore. so recently i bought a ps3, and that really fills the gaps i have been craving for: mature games. wii have great mature games, but mature games on the ps3 is premium, as how family games on the wii is premium. So what should u get: i say get both, coz only with 2 consoles i feel complete. but if u need to choose only one, get what u place most priority: family games or mature games. as they say, family always comes first. and that is why wii is so damn popular.

I feel I'm missing something with the Wii too. What with the Assassin's Creed 2, GTA 4, Fallout 3. Oh well, just got Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, I do hope it will be a remedy of those great games.

yeah, those r d games i longing for. but slowly lah, 1 game per month. but since i got the ps3 one thing that really stands out: its easy to get 2nd hand games! kalau wii, coz nearly everybody is playing pasar malam games, is hard to find them. In LYN garage sale, 2nd ps3 games for sale beats wii games 25 to 1. i can find 2 year old titles for as little as 80rm or less. i find ps3 games cheaper in that aspect. actually even new games then to be cheaper. just wait a few weeks, and people will start selling their new games they bought. i can never do that on the wii, not in malaysia at least.

i don't know lah, to be very honest it is not fun owning an unmodded wii in malaysia. I was in philippine for a long time, and i never had problems trading new and 2nd hand wii games.

and all of them are taking from MMSoft. So wat ever title MM dont have, we will nvr have it too. Unlike Singapore, they take from various distributors.

Wii unmodded really dont suit hardcore gamers in Malaysia.

you get a 003 error most likely because your wii is a korean modded wii and you went online with it to perform a firmware upgrade

how much to fix this?

if you are a modder yourself (and must be quite a good one)...i believe it will cost you not much except some tools that you may not have with you(i.e screwdrivers)

but since you asked...well, it will depend on your own local gamestore to fix it for you...(i don't exactly know the price...sorry, some would say that you need a modchip or whatever...they could be lying...or maybe it's just a different way to unbrick your wii)

the way to solve the error 003 is to find a shop that can do it. maybe someone can help in this forum, but if u haven't found one coz there is not too many. although i heard isolated stories that it can be solved, the most common outcome to this problem is u should just buy new one.

A friend who had the same 003 error unknown device shown after he had pressed Yes to upgrade firmware while first time going online.

Heard from him that , he brought it to one of the well known shop in LYN to solve the problem for weeks it has been up there.

And the result was Unable to repair. Have to change the mother board for the Wii.

Thats what i heard for this brick issue

I dont think theres another of the same type like Wii sports for Wii except for Wii Sports Resort , closest to it. ( i mean as good as Wii Sport )

Unless if you are looking at only tennis game then the best current one i guess is Grand Slam Tennis.

Grand Slam Tennis still needs motion+ though. Heh, you could look at those knock-off sports game (Deca Sports) if you want, but I doubt you'd want that.

There's nothing to do here except suck it up and buy one or two Motion+ already. I've already bought it and I'm only in middle school (With a few side-jobs), so why can't you?
