I'd like to propose something over here.
Afif, I would like it if you could share with us Homebrew programs that you belive would be great for Wii owners. Just give a highlight on certain ones that would make us envy.

Hampes punya Gundam. Not to confuse the people who might ask later, the official Malaysian Wii is distributed locally by Malaysia's official distributor of Nintendo Products, MM Soft. The region of the console is in US and it plays only US games. I should actually make a press release on behalf of the company to say that price reduction is here.

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Dec 8 2009, 09:17 AM) i really do wish I could just make the wii region free. I really do. There is a way if you care to look. I'm doing that exactly right now with my Japanese Black Wii softmodded to be recognized as a US Wii. Also with another mod, believe it or not, I have all my Wii games "with me" when I plan to carry the Black Wii around on my nightstops. This mod also allows games from any region, be it PAL or NTSC, or from any region, to be loaded and played on the Black Wii itself. Contrary to popular beliefs that softmodding is unstable and all, it is only unstable if you chose optical discs as your mode of playback. That, and together with "have all my Wii games with me", that should be enough clues on how I transport all my 117 Wii games around.

In other words, you would have successfully put all those games, into 1 area, and in the process defiled your wii? Gosh, your wii now has 117 babies.

The Black Wii is defiled in any case, since it is from Japan. Unless I am proficient in the language itself, there is no point keeping it Japan-pristine.
Yup, I have to proceed this way, since the Black Wii is meant to accompany me everywhere I go during my worktrips. Carrying 117 discs with me, or discs of any kind will attract undue attention by customs/authorities checking my bags during my trips. I need to do it this way too, because once I'm back home, my Wii tend to be neglected in favor of the 360 and the PS3, in addition to the tons of other things I had to do while in KL. The Black Wii is portable enough for travelling purposes, and works fine with standard composite cables available at even the shittiest hotel with their shitty TVs.
If your Wii remains static/you play only at home, then the current "play using Wii Discs" is adequate enough.

Cant help you on the peripherals. I thank God for my non-commitalness to any GH games to date. I do play them before, just that I am not overtly obsessive about bringing them around. The NSMBW however...... As for the "singular area where all these games resides", they are not in any kind of sleeves or cd books. Portable USB powered drives have come so far these days in reducing its footprint and increasing its memory capacity. I mean, I already have 1 TB USB-powered WD portable HDD I bring with me for my iTunes content.....This post has been edited by stringfellow: Dec 11 2009, 12:12 PM

The most important accessory before you even can start playing your Wii: batteries. Be it normal dry cell ones or rechargables.
Also remember that the Wii will not auto-detect and change the resolution when you move between 480i on composite and 480p on component.

Oh yeah! My post got modded and deleted =__=
Anyway, anyone have one of those cheap "Made in China" rechargeable battery packs? I have one and I don't know if it's a perfected one, but it can stand up to 8 hours in full charge. When left idle for say, 3 weeks, it can last for 6 hours.
Oh, me does not know real rechargeable batteries capacity
