so u saying wii is not so popular in mal so that is why wii games is scarce, both pirate and ori. can't proof that, but i can find wii sold everywhere. every shop that sells ps2 would also sell wii too, right?

hmmm, so the wii scene is dead in malaysia? i will walk into my fav shop and ask one of these days which is console games paling laris. so these shops are just selling wii consoles but not so much the games. interesting. people on wii mostly play wii sport and that's it? interesting again.

i am a member of a philipine forum too, and wii discussion are also quite dead. but it does not reflect the stores. but that is ph, not malaysia, so i am out of scope.

anyway, perhaps phoenixbite is right. nobody give a damn about wii except a few of us. i will ask around to conclude.

well, today i visited my local pirated game shop. they don't really keep account exactly how many games they sell, but they tell me 360 and wii games sells just as many. suprisingly he said ps2 games sells at a slower rate. 360 they have 4 binders, whereas wii they have 10 binders. i know this is a very small sample, and cannot really conclude, but here is the fact on one game shop.

no, its bad for me. coz that kind of 'proof' that the ori titles can't be found in malaysia because of piracy, as my first point.

shovelwares is more common on the wii. but it doesn't bother me coz i just take what is good, and ignore the rest. but what bother's me so much (being a fanboy, it is quite stressful) is that the wii is really not treated like current gen to game developers. they still get rundown versons of d same game available on ps3/360. the worst part, even casual games get rundown versions - i.e. karaoke revolution - and that really sucks

as a gamer that enjoys mature games, owning a wii just don't make me complete. i know gameplay is more important then graphics. but isn't graphics a very close 2nd? and who says ps3 can't equal wii in terms of gameplay? who said throwing a greanade by pressing a button can be less satisfying then throwing a grenade with the nunchuck? the ps3 is moving into 'real world' graphics, but the wii is still banging on going cartoony.

and as a wii fanboy, the worst part is that sony understands that they lack family games, and they are doing something about it. but the wii still don't undersand they lack mature games, and is doing nothing about it.

btw, q about 360. if u mod your 360 then kena ban by microsoft. does that mean u can't play online anymore for that account? and no way to revive? so habis la?

just wondering y people mod their 360. its an highly unattractive proposition if that d above case.

consensus is if u have a modded US wii (only if), u won't cause harm to your console if update through connect 24 function other then wiping off all "foreign" mods that u have done. But u see, a modded wii has lot of configurations u can mod it too. so, if your wii is not the 'mainstream' mod setup u might get an unexpected result. so rule of thumb don't update through connect 24 function, unless u done your homework and u know it will work. so there u go, a politically correct answer.

purpose of d accessories is just to make it comfortable and realistic. i have been playing those games for a year, and all accessories that comes with d game i put in a box and store in my attic. i don't need them at all. btw, i m not referring to wii motion plus, that is not an accessory coz it affects gameplay.

d wii just dropped price last nov 09. so, its save to tell u it won't drop price so soon again. buy used if u so concern about price. but my personal opinion is peace of mind first, price 2nd.

notice the price is 133 usd, that's more then half d price of the wii. some people would pay that much just to be region free? yeah, right. btw, can it be found on malaysian shores?

nope sorry, european wiis can't play US games out of the box. u will need to mod your console, but i won't recommend that unless u are pretty techie by nature. modding will also reduce the value of your wii.

so yr options are:
1. sell your wii there, and buy another one here.
2. mod your wii to play US games
3. keep your wii and buy european games through online.

here is my verdict for composite vs. component as i just changed mine a week ago.

there is noticable difference. guarantee can notice else u just blind.

the noticable difference is it is more crisp. as in not blur. especially if there is lot of motion involved, the crispiness is still maintained, and doesn't blur out like composite.

if u ask me if it make difference in gameplay, i would say not much, but somewhat it will. for example in mario kart, i can see the banana peel much clearer, and have a higher possibility of avoiding it, although the difference in that possibility is not too big compared to composite.

so there u go. i love answering simple questions as detailed as possible. its just my style i guess.

got the kacukan versions done by really creative people. but let's not go there. its like if u want to force a cow to marry a dog for example, with lot of effort u will suceed, but it was never to be by design.

u get an original wii, then u modify the software installed inside that operates the wii - u get a softmod wii. to me (as a gamer, and not a technical entusiast) it does more harm then good. good is u get to have functions that the oiringal wii doesn't have. the bad is u get incompatible issues with certain games, and yr warranty is cancelled. but the scene in malaysia, sellers sell softmod wii as a default, which i think is really not right. sellers r still living in the old ps2 days where modded ps2 has no issues. but modded wii has more issues then we r aware of.

in theory yes. if u do google, 95% will say yes can with small exceptions. modded wii got lota setups. so sometimes u softmod setup is too intense that u will encounter problems unmodding. and believe or not, unmodding is very simple procedure. just hook up to the internet and do a system update trhough nintendo. nintendo will search through all your modded system files and erase them for u (thanks nintendo). but 5% of the time there are residue files (due to intense modding) which might have side effects. but most of the time they r just annoying side effects u can live with - and btw, the above does not apply to korean modded wii. for korean wii to unmod, u need a rocket scientist.

btw, korean wii is the worst. these sellers like it very much coz it has a higher profit margin. these r reconditioned wiis that come from god knows where, which are god knows how many hands old, and have been raped god knows how bad. and of course they always say its new, with matching eye contact.

his shop is whereever u are . lucky u tanya here before u buy. lot of people hentam buy aje. and they suddenly caugth by surprise when they finish with d 15 free games they playing and want new games. some even before they play d 15 free games already kena. and when they send back to the shop, the shop buat dono aje (i just sell i don't repair attitude), or worst still ask for maintenance fees - and they say its standard. standard my hairy ass.
