Modding is not actually illegal. The use of one of its softwares is illegal. I don't know how does it relate to Sex and Pregnancy though.

there is one thing i heard from some wii owner,they said they homebrewww wii because they want wii play dvds.
In my opinion,these ppl is stupid bcoz Nintendo already said that adding dvd lens to wii will increase the manufacturing cost causing wii more expensive.Nintendo also said that dvd function is totally unnecessary bcoz every home already own a dvd player.You gonna put ur wii near the dvd player anyway.

About legal or illegal stuff,since our country dont care about it its up to u to say legal or not.
I just continue to enjoy my original wii and its software.

ramz is an "original games" player, whether the console is modded or not. Myself also play regularly on my modded PS2, and I actually support modding if it's to get rid of region locking. And it's not easy to find unmodded consoles too sometimes, so some people have no choice but to get modded ones.

true last weekend i try to do a survey of games shop in sg wang plaza almost 100% of them dont have unmodded WII, only 2 shop sell US set but the price is ridiculous, not all ppl have the luxuries of internet and can buy online from Kyo , I have a korean wii I mod it to remove the region lock i still use ori ori games is that consider i'm pirating?

is that the same "go to hell" guy who made his say with the same phrase somewhere last month? mr go to hell, i'm with u man. but cannot generalize that everybody who mods should go to hell, but i don't blame u if u generalize. coz 95% (conservative %) who mod is going to hell. but really don't generalize coz u will hit some angels out there too.

i think in malaysia, most game shops that sells an ori wii has like 10 korean wii's in their stock (excluding ninty's shop of course)...and besides, if you really put some thought into the price of ori games...

by purchasing an ori wii game = price of an ori blue ray PS3 games so...which console would people target to buy considering that there is no pirated blue ray games out there as of time...XD

not that i'm supporting piracy but it's one of those factors that why piracy still exist and is really difficult to curb in malaysia (and other countries like US as well...i mean, if you've done your research abt piracy within the U.S country for wii games...you will be surprised by the amount there too as well)...=)

To be honest, i only have 3 ori Wii Games (Metroid, Zelda n Deadspace Ext) rite now n all of them i bought at used price.

regarding the price, even 360 ori games are cheaper than Wii n both are modded...

i dunno laa..but i think, most ppl (me included) choose games based on their looks n also gameplay. So if i want to justify between a shooter on the wii or the shooter on the PS3/360...the latter will always win for me. RPG? The same too.

Motion control can be fun...but not enticing enough for me to go for it first. Later if i dun have other games...i will look for it.

i have all d wii exclusives: nsmb, mario kart, grand slam tennis, ssbb and boogie superstar.

the rest are band games u can find on other platforms wii coz i have invested on the hardware already.

as u can see, i only have less then 10 games on d wii, but i am totally satisfied, coz up to today i still play them.

as for my ps3, all my shooters are there. and i have 4 of them. and that too i am totally satisfied, coz up to today i still play them.

when i was first going to buy the wii (i was a noob in console gaming before that), i was going to get a modded wii, coz everybody is getting it. in fact i was so closee in buying it but back down after i read about the issues of modded wii. i know that every issue, some genius will come to fix it, and over time u will overcome it. but i was thinking why go through all that hassle. as though i got lot of time, and it makes me feel like a desperate white collar thief. but my concern was game availability, and not price. but i was in philippine that time, so game availability was not a concern at all. the shops are full of it from ceiling to ceiling. i can just walk in and find d game u want. so i bought the unmodded wii. i came back to malaysia, and wow - no games to buy. i remember i was looking for 2 games in the market - cod:mw and ddr: hottest party 2. i go to retail shops don't have, i post in lyn don't have. for 3 months i looking for it don't have. only got in PA, but the price is too expensive - selling at 54 USD, and i always scared that once i commit i have to wait 2 weeks for it, which i would pull my hair if within that 2 weeks i find it in malaysia. i finally got fedup i bought my ps3, and bought my cod:mw2 for my shooter fix. so there u go. my game being unavailable on the wii i blame it on pirates. damn pirates.

actually the numbers of wii users is also not that many in Malaysia to merit vendors taking stocking it up in their shops (most do it on a special request). Wii is still considered a luxury item along with 360 n PS3. Just look at this forum alone...not many active members. 360 came in second.

Most parents wont buy it for their kids while those who can afford it by themselves opt for 360 n PS3...they don't bother much for the wii. Unless they fall prey to the hype (like me )

As for the pirated copy not many ppl actually bought them, u can see many shops still carries PS2 title folders in their shops n these games are what most 'pirate' players are focusing on.

So i don't think the pirate is the only culprit...lack of titles for mature gamers is also an issue too. Coz if u blame the pirates alone, like i said b4, even 360 can play pirated copies but u can still find most of their ori games easily accessible in game shops.

u sure? u walk into a popular pirate shop u have all 3 binders - 360, ps2 and wii. 360 is less abuse to mod then wii. that is why u find more ori games available for 360. u can't hardly find a unmodded wii nowadays. but an unmodded 360 is easily available

i dun say they don't hv wii pirated games selling...what i meant was...even the pirated wii games is not as popular as it other pirated counterpart..not many ppl bothered with pirated wii games as in comparison with the pirated PS2 n 360 games.

that is what i was trying to say.

U can see for urself n u can also ask if the pirate sellers even bothered to reprint their pirated wii stocks

so u saying wii is not so popular in mal so that is why wii games is scarce, both pirate and ori. can't proof that, but i can find wii sold everywhere. every shop that sells ps2 would also sell wii too, right?

based on my observations, there are 2 reasons why it may seem pirated wii games is not as popular as other counterparts :-

1. just take a look a what type of games you find when browsing through those folders. even the pirates dunno what really to pirate or perhaps the seller/producer of the disc just know a lot of latest games "cannot play" ... so avoid selling

2. for those ppl in the know it's even worse mentality, easy to look for game downloads upon release together with "fixes" to make sure it can run ... no need to "buy" from shop la as they say ! just download and run from external HDD


damn, sad but true cases ... and actually we are not even talking about the right thing ... everyone should just be paying and playing originals. pure and simple.
