QUOTE(nelsonyap48 @ Jun 2 2009, 10:51 AM) In the application form, you choose the course yourself. I think jpa only choose colleges for applicants. Yea JPA chooses the college in Malaysia for you if you are in there overseas degree program. You have quie alot of liberty to choose which college or university you want to go through after you have completed your preparatory or initial years in Malaysia. Another thing is the foreign country which you further your studies in. You get to choose which country you want. The majority of successful applicants get their country of choice. However there are a handful who don't.

QUOTE(barrister @ Jun 2 2009, 09:06 PM) I think you are probably misinformed. I am a JPA scholar and we don't get to choose which country to go to for a particular subject. Hmm it might have changed recently, but for the years I know, the scholars got to choose their country when applying for the scholarship.

QUOTE(nelsonyap48 @ Jun 3 2009, 09:34 PM) Hey, anyone here opened CIMB account? They dont provide me an account book. But what they can do is print a slip stating that the account no. and the owner. Is this acceptable for jpa? It's more than acceptable. All the want is the name your account was registered in and the account number. On a side note, you should request for an account book as it is easier to keep track of your balances using it and when there is any problems with your accounts, the account book is a valuable ID of you as the account holder and speeds things up.

QUOTE(tenux @ Jun 4 2009, 12:56 PM) yeah.. cimb's staff also said they no longer use book... paperless i think... Nope CIMB hasn't gone paperless yet. It's just cause you opened a kid's account. You won't get book. Why? Cause most of you are under 18. I bypassed this by opening a joint acc with my mom.

The card is enough. They'll just ask you to photocopy the care and give them.
