Hello folks, I wonder if any of you have purchased the alternate matte battery cover ? Couldn't find it in the UK sad.gif I'm desperate for one as my colleague dropped my phone and end up having a tiny scratch on the back cover ! I went up to slashphone.com however it didn't mention where I could get the replacement cover. HTC UK site doesn't have it either. Can anyone help ?

Can I ask what version of garmin are you using on TD2 ?How is it like overall? I'm yet to try out the gps ! As far as I concern, the tomtom fails miserably ! Only a few, like IGOR, Copilot and Garmin works. I'm deciding between garmin and Copilot.

Yes....... the matte cover housing could be found on ebay now.......however it costs a bomb, approximately 43 pounds for full set housing. Darn...... contemplating if I should get a set as I've dropped my phone on stony pavement....and that little dent on top right corner does bother me a bit.

Anyone using noreve leather case ?

did u mean rubberized plastic casing?

rubberized plastic is a must, without it, scratch easily with the default Diamond 2 casing. it was one of the main reasons why i didnt change to diamond 2. and the qwerty keyboard of cuz XD.

oh yea, u diamond 2 users know that there are freebies great games for u right? can be found here

Baronic, eh..... I don't know if you meant silicon case ? What I was saying was the full set housing, with the matte cover (which some forumers were suggesting as an alternative back cover to minimise finger prints)

Pdair has always been reputable for covers/pouches however there's design which I dislike, you know it's like two bands strapped on the top and bottom. But the metal casing certainly looks good. I prefer the noreve or proporta design, in terms of the phone can be slided in, and supports which hold the phone at both sides

I prefer the design of proporta and noreve too.  However noreve's case is a bit expensive.

Just bought Proporta's Aluminium Lined Leather Case with USD 21.21 (15% discount with promotion code : josh15) + shipping USD 5.17 from proporta.com

can't wait to receive my invisibleSHIELD and proporta leather case smile.gif

HTC P3700 - HTC Touch Diamond Tradition
$$ of case + shipping to malaysia is around USD 80+ (you may check the price from the link above), quite expensive ;-)
*
The norever does worldwide shipping however the price is almost a rip-off. My friend got the case, it's really an excellent piece of leather fitting the phone nicely. On the other hand,I've got the proporta aluminium, slightly bulky but half the price of noreve.

The noreve is costing quite a lot, about £40 for the case & shipping. So you can do the conversion yourself.

I just went to the HTC webpage, submitted my serial number and voila, got the update.

I don't know how does it work with Msia version though ?

The main difference with wm6.5, is the manila, they have used HTC sense this time and it's actually quicker. Less ram consumption too. Battery life seems to improve tiny bit. However IE doesn't support flash, i.e. megavideo still can't be played. Otherwise they have thrown in market place, facebook and twitter applications, launching and using are easy as breeze. Obviously those hot fixes came along with this upgrade as well.

So far those are the things I have noticed.

p/s : if you lock your phone, you get this iphone-like interface with the sliding lock pad, which is cool, i think tongue.gif

IE can support Flash, just that cannot support Flash 9 compiled SWFs. For example. IE can be used to BUY tickets from GSC website.

Opps, I should have made it clear, with the flash support. thanks for correcting.

So are you guys chuffed with the upgrade, or you have more to expect ?

Panda00 - U oso download from UK?

Yes, dl from UK. Was so tempted to try out the cooked rom, but was put off by the risk of bricking the phone ! and some minor tweaks that you constantly need to do. So I waited for the official rom !

I think this upgrade is a huge leap for me, as since I bought the phone, I had never tweak or optimise it. Every little does help, notably with the battery status now has shown the percentage; signal boosted (the radio's updated); volume is definitely louder; and text selection is so much easier now...... I'm one of the happy upgrader, although there are still, many critics about it.
