HTC D2 and HD are quite similar, almost identical, except for the slight difference in the processor. Many of the tweaks and applications written for HD can actually work in the D2.

QUOTE(jys @ Sep 9 2009, 11:26 AM) i'm not using any software for SMS, it's the default one. is it because i did not check on the 'Event' under sound & notification? Did you try this; Settings>Personal>Sounds & Notifications> check Events>Notifications>Scroll down Event to Messaging: New text message> check Play sound and choose your sound. |

3G not only drains this phone it also drains HTC HD as fast. I just change 3G to E to conserve the battery.

QUOTE(Baronic @ Sep 12 2009, 09:59 PM) do u mean using the network, or just being in the coverage. using the network doesnt make a difference in battery drain. what will drain the battery is when you're travelling, as you switch base stations and the phone searches for new base stations The phone when set to 3G will consume battery faster than when set to E. |

If you are using TF3D as your UI, WM6.5 is not going to do much to improve your device performance. On the contrary, WM6.1 is still faster and more stable than WM6.5.

QUOTE(jys @ Oct 27 2009, 11:00 AM) Whenever I open my file explorer, it'll hang.. then i have to off my phone to close the file explorer...anybody knows wat's wrong? Sounds like a serious problem. My advise to you is to back up all your data now, in case you have to hard reset to get rid of the problem. |

QUOTE(dasoulz @ Nov 23 2009, 11:45 PM) hi. Run into a problem. My diamond 2 cant seems to be detected via USB. when i plug in, it detects for a few seconds and then gone with the message on PC (device error or something like that). I tried like 20 times with 4 different PCs and only twice can get connected successfully. Try using another data cable. Could be loose connection.can advise is this a driver issue or hardware? If all fail, a hard reset would most probably solve the problem. |

QUOTE(~*pepper*~ @ Dec 16 2009, 12:46 PM) hi all, Hard Reset will delete all your data. planning to get a touch diamond2 any tips on what to do after getting it? too many stuff to read in 60 pages, i can only remember that its better to hardset the phone if not the battery life will remain short.. is it recommended to upgrade to winmo 6.5 with manila 2.5? issit more battery draining? thanks ^^ Don't upgrade to WM6.5. WM6.1 is more stable and have less bugs. Battery life of WM6.1 is better. |

QUOTE(~*pepper*~ @ Dec 17 2009, 08:06 PM) hey guys, Turn off your device.just got my td2 but it came preinstalled with winmo6.5 how do i hardreset it? the accelerator don't seem to work... i can only use landscape in sms mode Press and hold both volume up and volume down buttons. Press and release the power button WHILE STILL holding the two volume buttons. Hold the two volume buttons till the screen comes alive and then follow the instruction on the screen. Happy Hard Reset. Backup your data before you hard reset. |
