nah la.. i mean 6.5.1 on my xperia. since both device is exactly the same hardware except camera.

i check out the link above, there is actually a lot of cooked rom for topaz. but i wondering why in this forum, like nobody discuss about it. in xperia forum, almost 99% of member all using cooked rom.

for windows mobile, i see cooked rom is much stable n smoother n more features than stock rom. so, as thread started for xperia, i infected almost all xperiancer with cooked rom. (my bad)..

mayb someone using topaz cooked rom can report about this?

as far as i concern, Dutty always cook good rom for htc devices(tried his rom on touch HD), as well as energyrom(on xperia n touch pro). but i dislike energyrom for xperia, it juz wont work well.

what is cooked room and energy room? is it better than the ori rom? im going to upgrade to official wm6.5 now.. but cant connect to computer, it showed does not connect correctly using active sync, anyone can help?

I have already updated my ROM based on the link. Well i think its cool and More user friendly then 6.1. Instead of TF3D, its now using HTC Sense which looks better. Its abit laggy but still work fine. Battery life so far is the same for me. The biggest differences i see is the response of the keyboard when typing a sms or email and the Sound is louder when play music or alarm.

Overall i feel is a good update so far. Still exploring..Hehe! Oh and there apps like facebook n stuff.

i m using wm6.5.1 now. from shadowline (xda-developers). surprisingly... the new update works fine compared to previous rom. am sticking to it for sure.

Just update to 6.5 using given link, anybody know how to set owner information? i cannot get it in setting.

As many ppl said, Cooked ROMS are more interesting and advance then official ROMS. But the catch is most of us are still on warranty, thus flashing to a cooked ROM will void the warranty. We will join u in a few months time.. Hehe.

xda-developers do provide stock rom if you wish to revert back to original.

may i know where u all get the source from? like how u know whether is sense ui or normal manila 2.5?

as far as i concern, sense ui only available on HTC Leo / HD2 rom. which is running manila 2.5.1920. which the shadowline manila interface is.

that mean stock official wm6.5. got leo manila 2.5 interface? got twitter tab? or new music tab? or weather animation on HOME Tab? got new HTC album which can directly view facebook friend's photo?

official ROM use an upgraded version of TF3D 2.0. HTC HD2 uses TF3D 2.5 *renamed to HTC Sense.

my current rom, when loading... it show "loading HTC Sense" instead of "loading TouchFlo 3D".

HTC Sense support background weather which is very very cool. i love the lightning feature as it makes my screen flicker...LOL

so tat mean official rom isnt any htc sense loadded rite? since it is only tf2.0.

Well im not sure bro. But in the setting of Today screen, it says HTC Sense. Any Idea Where to check the version?

full sense has 3 shortcut program launchers in home screen whereas tf3d2.1 does not have

both have weather data on home screen, but i always find the forecasts inaccurate anyway.

ahh.. now i understand.. HTC doing branding for all their phone. manila or so called touchflo is now all renamed to sense UI no matter wat version is it.

for me, manila 2.5.1920. u can check the version like this. scroll to SETTINGS tab in tf3d. then scroll down to "about phone" "software information". it will write the manila version over there. im not sure how is tf2.0 long time ago i used it. now oso forget dy.

hehehe, i think u all also is the time to flash 3rd party rom dy.. lol..

it is juz actually temporary void warranty. if any hardware failure, then flash back to stock rom and stock spl. then u can send for warranty without problem. this is the special privilege for winmo user. able to heavily customize our phone. should have enjoy what we have rite?

yes. the whole screen flicker. there are 2 options. Weather Wallpaper & Animated Wallpaper. surprisingly, this rom didnt include Animated picture at all. but i like the weather more.

NO. it wont install by itself. you have to Hard SPL your device.

What you need to do...

1) Download 2 files. Hard SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520312) //filename: Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL.zip & Shadowline ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=526618) //filename: RELEASE_TOPAZ_23502x1M_Shadowline.zip.

2) Extract all zip files.

3) Plug your phone into USB. make sure battery is more than 50%.

4) Double click on Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL.exe

5) Follow the steps provided. Make sure to flash in AUTOMATIC mode instead of Manual mode. *Process = less than 3 mins

6) Device will auto reboot. Enter pin code like normal.

7) Now, double-click on TopazRUUWrapper.exe

8) Follow the steps provided. *Process = 5 mins

9) Device will auto reboot. You will be able to see MS Windows Phone Blue screen instead of WM6.5's orange. *Veery cool.
The rest....you should be able to figure out.

0) If you wish to use back Original Stock rom, go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520312 and download TopazSPLRelocker_SPL133.zip. Process is same as Hard SPL *point 4 above

PS: I only tested it on my device which work fine. Pls consider before installing custom ROM.
