mine seems fine, only some slight lag at the homescreen once in a while. most of the time it runs just fine.
you can search for Dutty's task manager, install that and it'll give you the task manager back at the top right corner smile.gif
you'll need to download a patch, so it reverts back to the original windows threaded sms.
yeah i'm using it, but not the latest version. so far so good, battery usage seems quite normal to me.

thanks.. the sms interface is slightly laggy.. it doesnt really flow smoothly..
abit regretted flashing the new official rom..

anyway.. does anyone know how to change the pagepool file size for the official exe rom update from htc??

If don't like the htc messaging, can use patch to revert back to previous version of messaging. Read few post back. If don't like the new official ROM, can always flash back to the old ROM, there's no regret.  nod.gif

To change the pagepool, you need to first launch the exe ROM file that you've downloaded. Then click next to let it extract the ROM files. Then, go to your windows temp folder (usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp) and locate the file RUU_signed.nbh (should be in pft60C.tmp folder). Use the Pagepool Changer to open that file and click 20MB on whole part, then click "Change to". Then exit the PagePool Changer program and resume flashing with the ROM Upgrade Utility.
Good luck.

hey guys, I wonder can we sync the topaz using normal micro USB cable instead of using d HTC 1? coz its kinda troublesome to bring cable between my office n home..
*
yes you can.. no worries.. the htc usb slightly different because got one extra pin for audio..
for sync, you don't need that extra audio pin so you can sync with any miniUSB cable..

it was wit minimal usage.. few calls n sms's..

if use one shot straight, ie play games, gps.. the battery will discharge approx 4 hours from full charge..

btw, just wondering, for those who upgraded to the new rom, does the photos and music switch to lanscape view when you hold the phone sideways? the custom roms have it, i wonder if the official one is the same.

No, by default it doesn't. But you can enable this by just changing the registry:
HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/EnableFullScreen:dword=1
Soft reset and now you will have default rotation in this tab.
(0 to disable it)
