hmm yeah.. windowsmobile is a fully customizable platform..

use resco file explorer or totalcommander.. browse to /windows/start menu/programs/

then find for coreplayer.ink or coreplayer if extension diden show. then press n hold da icon, click properties.

there is 2 tab, click to "shortcut" tab and click da "..." then point to correct coreplayer.exe file.

coreplayer.exe should b in /program files/coreplayer/coreplayer.exe

give it a try then see how.. u should now able to launch coreplayer from all programs.

besides, to use coreplayer as default player. u nid to run coreplayer and inside options ther use da "file association" and tick those format u wan to use coreplayer as default player.

rkwan67 is right. It only worked when i was on the home or settings tab (in regards to swiping)

I'm new to using HTC Diamond. I was a Nokia user all this while with N95 8GB being the last Nokia phone which I used b4 moving to HTC.

I wld like to learn from forumers here how and where to start to learn how to make full use of this phone?

You mentioned that other tones like alarm can be changed provided it is in .wav format. What about changing the tones for SMS/MMS and Incoming video call? Since I'm a noob, would be very appreciative if you can kindly show me the steps how to do this?

HTC know this issue and it going to fix really soon too. Iphone 3G oso got such problem. so wat? still a lot of ppl bought wad.

if u still doesnt like it.. then go for touch HD lor.. rich guy got budget mar..

The reception feels bad because when you compare the number of signal bars that appear on screen with the Diamond, the D2 definetly has less. Personally I can see that it definetly not as sensitive to 3G signals, so you'll definetly feel that 3G calls suffer poor quality especially if you're not in a strong 3G area.

Personally for myself I don't care too much about how many bars of signal strength I have on my phone as long as I can make and receive calls properly and so far its
- GSM : Works fine like any other phone
- 3G <- I don't use mix mode, I always directly hook on to 3G ONLY : Pretty poor, very hard to maintain a call when on 3G, but then again my office in Kelana seems to be on the edge of Maxis 3G coverage so that just makes the problem worse. Also.. I don't actually make calls in 3G, usually i receive calls in 3G only because I got a call while using the phone as a modem.

The so call radio update ROM does not seem to VISIBLY change anything (ie. signal strength bar still low)

Summary is still, I have no problems making and receiving calls when on GSM, works just as well as other phones.
And on 3G, it's just as bad as any other phone I have! I find Maxis 3G to be very poor in the areas I'm in.

Hi rkwan67, I just did the steps as mentioned by you. After un-checking TF3D, the screen just went grey blank save for the heading. Is this what one will get after un-checking the TF3D?

haha... yeah. since u disable tf3d but enable default wm today application it will show grey background if no wallpaper assign.

u can tick some other thing other than tf3d. then u will see sone default wm plugin.

go bak to wher u untick tf3d. then tick other stuff

all sounds and notifications can be changed at Start > Settings , Sounds and Notifications. Ringtones must be placed at either root of storage card, My Ringtones folder in My Documents, or /windows.

wav files MUST be in /windows or storage card i think

n yeah, some research statistic. do u all notice that most pda is always using default ringtone and default sms ringtone? i really notice that really a lot of pda user using default 1. so to spot pda really really easy especially pda standard default ringtone only 3 if HTC ringtone is not installed by default.

anyway, to input chinese, CE-star is da best for me. n i forget HTC included it for u all...lols.. i nid to use *ahem version..
