QUOTE(cherroy @ May 12 2009, 02:15 PM) There are some links. If public feel insecured to spend and company feel insecured to invest money, then it will affect the overall economy. probably if it were a general election and the federal gomen collapses in favour of the opposition than probably it would be a more significant issue comapred to a squabbling state. I think if at anytime u ask any East Malaysians they probably know mroe about the stimulus pack granted by the gomen than Perak ruckus thats being whipped up.But for Perak state drama, the effect is minimal on the overall economy as state actually is powerless on most issues. |

QUOTE(omores @ May 18 2009, 09:20 AM) My profit from equities all wiped out... from making RM8k, now down to 0k... Still holding on tho. Hopefully will see green army this week (after I ave down) good for u Lucky I shorted on FKLI last friday at 1007. Bought back at 999. Made RM3500. So fun and fast. very rare see any traders use FKLI to hedge their position in the equities market, only problem is with the ability to gain so much in just a few days may also mean X could possibly lose just as much. |

just continue to holdlah, market caught a chill only possibly from NY or Penang.
The downtrend won't last long, it is bound to go up and when it does... don't get caught offguard thinking it will go down to 900 pts +/- I think this is still kacang puteh, the winner are those who can hold the longest. (and off course those who are nett cash?) |

I remeber once ComSa was talk of the town, the Tauke paid his creditors with Cartons of Eggs... take it or leave it, if u want to us to court, there is a long line of creditors waiting around the corner...
Now i think the ComSa the tauke and his family or migrated to Australia, just got a pat on the back by Security Com and Bursa... i think a fine of some sort. |

QUOTE(ABC2020 @ May 18 2009, 10:28 AM) ci simply tumble 10, most of the penny counters already drop like hell...... if worsening, big shark will use this great opportunity to punch the price down...and force more to cut lost.. so that they can accumulate at low price again... i guess its pretty normal than, when the market is bullish penny stocks tend (potentially at least) to gain more than blue chips... easily 10-30% in a single day.its rise and fall should be proportionate. QUOTE(omores @ May 18 2009, 10:29 AM) its good, money loss is gone forever...it is wise to have some sort of strategy (rather than have no strategy at all)... or combine your funds and attack the market together (this would probably make u think twice and adjust your risk appetite)... |

QUOTE(omores @ May 18 2009, 10:30 AM) Really? Wah virtualgay, your dad really got conned into buying this counter lo! Comsa is long time ago, the problem is simple when buying any securities rely on brand name.. those counters which are located in Swk and Sbh i tend to not pick them up (even China for that matter, unless its very reputable i.e. HSBC)Added on May 18, 2009, 10:31 amWho wanna side bet that by afternoon, KLCI drop below 1000? What i don't see or have not heard of, try not too touch... Case study: Transmile. |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ May 19 2009, 09:30 AM) Today is the last day to pick up dividend before Ex, i don't think anyone will be (that keen) picking up any TM shares (more like they will be dumping TM shares to realize their profits.)Will be interesting to know what will be the closing price at the end of the day. Expect TM shares to hang around between 3.9-3.98 (top) Expected re-adjustment to share price approx around 3.77 +/- (20/5/2009) |

QUOTE(virtualgay @ May 19 2009, 09:36 AM) if TM can sell around 3.98 i wanna sell but i think wait tilll afternoon session before selling la... As long as u make money QUOTE(nujikabane @ May 19 2009, 09:37 AM) Hm wondering, why are people so overjoyed in buying stocks when the price picks up ? I thought when price go down only people buy, when price picks up, wait to sell ? Ka sudah terbalik ? if its a high yeilding dividend and defensive stock, dont see whats wrong with picking it up even if its at a high (provided ur not doing contra - if so gonna be in for a big suprise.)I think quite a few bought TM at quite a high price at around 3.80 to 3.84+/- with the price surging ahead (now at 3.98 high)... From here on... really boils down how one play the game.. 1. Realize profits? 2. get dividend than realise profits? 3. get dividend + cap repayment than realize profits..? |
