Can someone enlighten me why the minority interest share of profit is larger than the other holders' share of profit?
GCorp
Profit for the year = RM64.657 million
Attributable to:
Equity holders of the parent = RM14.190 million
Minority interest = RM50.467 million
Gcorp is in property development industry. Its normal for this kind of companies to have registered a company for one each project for some protection. I assume GCorp has several of these companies so called subsidiaries, whereby Gcorp having at least 50% shareholding. The numbers you are looking at is from P & L group reporting which means GCorp has more subsidiary more making bigger profits than the parent company itself i.e GCORP. This group profit must take out the portion of profit that does not belong to Gcorp shareholders.GCorp
