since you have sold, the market is now unpredictable ... any time could go down.. i suggest you keep your cash for contrac play at this time

Thanks for your kind advice.

That was my feeling...the market is a bit over-heated and I'd prefer to have cash right now. At least I didn't break Rule 1: 'Don't lose money' tongue.gif I'm also a bit concerned that all the recent action is focused on a few counters only. The usual suspects.

I wish there was more of a local bond market that provided some alternatives. hmm.gif

When you see first class companies where the daily transaction volumes are in the few thousands it seems a bit strange.

you wont be bitten by any shares if you got holding power. that is of course potential shares or blue chips.

I know that KINSTEL and DIALOG are not Blue Chips - but would you say they are "potential" shares??

Add another one to the bear.

I think the only reason there is a bull market is traders bonuses. They have to trade to get their bonus so they are playing chicken.

It would be interesting to know if the banking industry pays it's bonuses all at same time for activity over a set period.

If they do I'm betting that we will see the next leg down a few days after...

Do you think I've missed the bus on the Rubbers?

Hartalega posted great results late on Friday and now we have Piggy Sneeze in Malaysia. Just wondering if the gloves have any upside left as HARTA is at 12 month high and Top Glove also year high.

Any thoughts from our Sifus?

All in all, now i can say that i have 30k. Bought knm at 0.8sen on friday vmad.gif As well as Saag at 0.355. So now left around 18k. Any advise?
Since it seems you are lucky enough to be younger guy, I would keep your two counters and look again in a few years time and I'm sure they will reward you in the end - if you wait long enough.

For those who interested in steel counters.
[attachmentid=970105]

KLSE undergoing some panic selling/profit taking last week.
Maybe can get some good steel stock at good price. If interested maybe can buy in stages
or wait awhile for the market/counter to calm down.

Regarding OSK's Latest Steel Sector Report.

It is always interesting to look back through the forum threads here and elsewhere and read OSK/Chris Eng's analysis documents from 3 months ago, 6 months ago or even 12 months ago and marvel at how OSK and Chis Eng in particular always manage to get things almost always so spectacularly wrong.

If I'd followed 10% of what the 'research houses' recommended in my investment strategy, I'd be begging on the streets now.

Guess that why they are 'analysts' rather than making money in the market - like the rest of us. tongue.gif

Good news for Harta owner

OSK is keeping its "buy" recommendation on Hartalega Holdings Bhd, saying it likes the company's market leadership in the production of high quality nitrile examination gloves.

OSK also revised its target price on the stock to RM4.10.

The research outfit also noted that Hartalega's FY09 results came in above expectations.

The better-than-expected results were mainly contributed by new advanced high capacity production line, production efficiency, a more favourable exchange rate and a higher nitrile gloves sales mix.

Are you interested in Panamy for the dividend or the yield? I've been looking at that one - but seems like liquidlty may be a problem...also some quality issues reported....

Just wondering.... hmm.gif

guys.. anyone holding KINSTEL??
KINSTEL   1Q net loss 76.364 million which i think tomorrow the price will drop for sure!

Added on May 18, 2009, 9:53 pmPERWAJA   1Q net loss 56.445 million

Added on May 18, 2009, 9:55 pmSTEEL COUNTER why all Q1 profit making a huge loss?
*
Those counters should rise then - especially KINSTEL. The market has already costed Q1 losses in. smile.gif
Seems like in the current market P/L is not important. Hartalega posted 250% increase in profits and dropped like a stone today....
hmm.gif AMMB dropped also despite creditable results...

There's an unseen hand behind a lot of these stocks IMHO.
