Guys, seriously I need help here.
I'm using a strat copy electric guitar. Using a Yamaha YT-100 Auto Tuner.
I just brought my guitar for intonation. I tuned my guitar using the tuner ( the tuning are in the right pitch ).

BUT, why got some people still say that my guitar are out of tune ?

Is it my tuner problem or their ears got problem ? After the intonation & setup, I tested the tunings. Its out of tune shocking.gif My tuner shows that the 3rd, 4th string & 5th string are lower pitched. So, I tuned it back again. Untill yesterday, my uncle came to my house & just at the 1st strum on my guitar, he said:' how come out of tune de ?" . I used the tuner to test again. All the strings tuning are fine rclxub.gif

HELP #$@^%# Is my it guitar problem or the tuner problem ? Intonation was setup properly already.

I don't know anything about electric guitar but maybe the tuner cacated? Try with another one and see? Maybe can plug the guitar into the comp and use a software one. Just throwing out ideas here.

Or maybe the string old already like acoustic. My old acoustic sounded like out of tune even in tune because the strings were 3 years old, hehe.

Could be an intonation problem. I think you should send your guitar for a full setup and see if it can be fixed. Most likely suspect is the action.

Also, do you use the whammy bar alot? A low-end guitar that comes with a trem bar usually goes out of tune after one dip.

I just changed all my strings to Curt Mangan 9-42 nickel wounded 2 days ago when i did the intonation =.= Tuner are working fine. Just feel so stupid, why are people saying that my guitar are out of tune ? Even that guitar technician also make my guitar out of tune. But he did not used a tuner, he used his ears zzzzz

I just did a full setup on my guitar & did an intonation. RM 100 =.= I did not use the whammy bar at all. But the quality of my guitar are decent. Not those really bad ones. Consider above average a lil bit hmm.gif

Hmmm I find it best to tune my guitar even after the tech is done with it. Ear compared with electronics? Give me technology tongue.gif.

New strings somemore. Are they the same brand of strings you used before? But I don't think that will make the guitar sound out of tune.

I think best try another tuner. Strange. When you fret the string at the 12th fret, does the tuner say the string is in tune? Unlikely but maybe the tech screwed up the intonation.

The intonation is in perfect state. I tested all the strings with open & 12th fret. Same tone but just different pitch ( an octave higher loh ). When i pick the 1st string to 6th string, they sounds smooth to me .. just dont know why people still say its out of tune T_T
