ok first of all, you're on your own right?

which the option is only to do a solo accompaniment.

you have to play both melody and rhythm on your own.

get a nice transcription book.
(you can get those pop song arranged on single guitar accompaniment at guitar/music shop you know).
and make sure the notation is in tablature unless u can read music notation smile.gif

my suggestion is find a transcription which was arranged for solo guitar.
of course u need to fingerpick for best result of that

i tot he means to play both melody and chords on one guitar cause he said his voice sux.
but that canon in D is a nice suggestion also smile.gif
