I have been requested by my friend who is the coming bride next month to play a song for her wedding and it will be the entrance song. You know entrance when they introduce the newly wed into the ballroom. I will need to perform solo on my acoustic guitar and i cant think of a suitable song! Do you guys know or can recomend any to me? I need a song that i can play the vocal and music instrument with 1 guitar. I dont have a great voice so im thinking to play a song that i can get my guitar to produce the vocal and insturment sound together.

Just give me your suggestion and i will find the chords, tabs myself. If you have the tabs or chords that would be even better! Thanks....

green day time of your life? hm...i dont think it will be that suitable but let me listen how it will sound like

metalica? dont think its good for a wedding.

the more suitable team is like "LOVE" song...a song that contains "LOVE"...thanks for your thoughs....canon in d is good choice i must say! hehe

Hehe Time of Your Life is played damn fast. I have trouble keeping up with the video and when I play for friends they just stare.

Just had a listen to 'Canon D'. Very nice lah but maybe something lower? Sounded a bit high to me but it's a wedding. Weddings = happy.

But blacktrix, bro Barney doesn't want to sing. At least that's what I gathered from his post.   sweat.gif

yeap, i dont want to sing unless i can find someone else to sing. but for now i am looking to do the vocal and music instrument alone. thanks ya!

for those who posted youtube links, i cant see now as im in the office. Will have a look at em when im home. So keep the recommendation going!

okie....after viewing a few of your suggestions i think i'll have put this in my list

1) Canon in D
2) My Sassy Girl - I Believe (acoustic)
3) Eric Clapton - Wonderful Night

I personally like my sassy girl instrument...very relaxing i would say. Any more suggestions?

OKie, i got another one in my list and it's 'My Sassy Girl(korean movie) - Canon' version. I find this is a bit more LIVELY than the original version of canon in D. What ya guitarist think?

^ Got a link to it?

Oh yeah bro, how come you recorded some guitar videos in the jamban? I noticed a few people do that too.

here you go

this is the piano version but i can do it on the guitar.

well...the jamban ar....erm...i was told that recording in the jamban actually can produce better sound because its very humid and empty. there the sound will bounce back from the wall with an echo producing a much better sound. may be i am using a digi cam so the sound isn't as sharp as it should be ...hehe

Wah  rclxms.gif  It's relaxing to listen to alright. I like the bass parts. Can send me the tab once you're done? Haha  nod.gif

If can, get a keyboard to back up. Will sound lagi cun around 2.15 mins in.

I find my guitar sounds brighter in a closed space. Open air seems like got more bass.
*
HEHE! I think i'll settle for this...it's very ALIVE i should say, not so dry. now i gotta look for tabs around. when i get it i'll send it to you la. there wont be any keyboard as i am the only musician there...lol

try it in the jambam once...see u like the sound of it or not...hehe

Cool remix...! thumbs up.. but got one weird part tho.. where the pianist does that jittery playing at 1:38..

But anyhows, I reckon that you'll succeed in causing either or both mother-in-laws to tear  cry.gif  brows.gif
lol..

You're transcribing that sassy girl piece from piano to guitar?
*
for the jittery part, i might come out with my own idea for that. see what i can add in to spice it up abit. i just hope the crowd dun go in tears or not i feel abit bad ... tongue.gif

see if i can find the tabs or not and if i cant, i will try and translate the piano version to the guitar...gonna take time but can i believe
