I think u should go direct to their boss as salesman & installer always give you all the rubbish excuses(nobody would tell his fault)...How can you accept a senget wardrobe door and extra panel to cover 3 inches space?
I think you should ask them to remake it as what's suppose on agreement.

Let's us know what's your outcome? DOn't let's other become a victim

Sad to say, my wardrobes are done by Unity Design.
The week before, UD installed the kitchen cabinet and TV wall for me. I am very satisfied and very happy with the end result.
I even share the nice pic in facebook with everyone.

But last week, after they installed the wardrobe for me, I am totally disappointed.
To me, the wardrobe is totally fail and not acceptable.
First problem – The sliding door of the wardrobe is “senget”. It cannot close properly as in the picture. I asked UD installer, are they going to fix this next trip they come to my house, the installer said NO. He said the door “is like that”, it cannot be fixed.
I am so pissed off with the installer attitude and reply. Will you allow this thing happened to your own wardrobe in your house? A senget door which cannot be closed properly?

Second problem – The 3 inch end panel. The salesperson told me “this is normal”. He said it is very hard to know whether the wall is straight or not, so the way they do to prevent this is to put a board there directly. But for me, this is totally not acceptable.
The wardrobe looks super UGLY with the large board and it takes up the space !!!
I would rather the wardrobe fully extend to the wall even the wall is not straight. Just use silicon or whatever to seal it lar !
And for my room, there is no cornice at the top, there is only skirting at the bottom.

If this is the end result I will get, I would rather buy a readymade wardrobe, what for I spent so much in getting such a epic fail build in wardrobe.

But, the lucky thing is, the UD salesperson promised to take up the responsibility to fix for me. He will come to my house again to understand the situation better. I hope UD really look into this problem seriously.

My advice is make sure UD really fix the problem in good condition... else it's just wasting our time.

1st of all, i would like to thank Erny for visiting my house himself this evening and explained to me how all this can happened...

he said the standard fillet board should be within 2 inches so the one in the picture is wrongly done... he also said the door is unacceptable and as the results, he will redo the whole set of my wardrobe at no additional cost and will install back in the next few days.

I'm very satisfied with the response given by UD after i made my complain and i think this is just a human error that can be avoided if there's clear communication throughout the whole deal.

Lastly i would like to thank all of you as you had given me alot of advise and views in this case.

Actually my desginer set an appointment with owner on the next day we installed the cabinet but not wait until the owner command here. As I said we still not perfect but we trying the best, not to make mistake, as least not serious mistake. I believe from the 1st page till 90 over pages, more than few hundred good feedback from my customers, but I still can't avoid to make a  mistake.. I believe some of the customers who command a good feedback for me, actually they do complain before. But at last they get what they want and happy on the works, then only they will give some good feedbacks for UD. I consider the mistake cause by my workers as my own mistake, so I will try to settle and solve the problem as soon as possible. Thanks for all friends who support me ya. Appreciate that, cheers!

Added on August 18, 2011, 8:02 pmyup... it's good shanny smart enough to use the power of forum to discuss the defects.... else all this greedy contractors definitely says it's like that ...
Hopefully UD learn the lesson and able to deliver what he promise
