Hi,

I want to do a new TV cabinet for my new house. The design is as follows:-

1) wall hung solid wood tv cabinet one foot above floor level. the cabinet must be strong enough to support 100kg of equipment (amplifiers, Cd player, etc). No chipboard or plywood for the main frames, just solid wood.

2) tv wall panels measuring 12 feet x 8 feet high

3) solid wood support for rear speakers

Please PM me your design and quotation or arrange for a visit to my place.

Thanks

Hi, Eleganz Concept

Thanks for your comments. i would appreciate if you could advise some other alternative materials with a lower cost. The suspended TV cabinet must be strong enough to support the heavy equipment, maybe metal frame with chipboard on sides would be a good alternative. But constructed of full chipboard is out as they tend to bend and distort no matter what you say, I have seen enough. The TV cabinet can be just a long rectangular box measuring 10 feet x 1.5 feet with no internal frames (see pic above). I can put my stuff on the top and inside the cabinet (20 feet space). Just a simple and strong cabinet. The wall is a shear wall, no worry. Anybody who is interested, please pm me. Thanks again!
