QUOTE(vvn0vvn @ Oct 8 2010, 01:10 PM) if your kitchen is laminated, then u can (change) the laminate, if your kitchen is PU, then only u can re-paint your colur, if your kitchen is spray paint glass, then forget it, cost too much.usually the best solution will be, change all the door (new 1) and laminate your body (depent on material) |

QUOTE(vvn0vvn @ Oct 8 2010, 04:09 PM) it is a wooden cabinet. condition is good just that the surface a bit worn out so thinking of re-painting. if varnishing it with a darker colour, possible? Yes, is possible, if another way round is not able to do so, unless u ask for spray paint to cover the original color, then that can be done. |

QUOTE(wrb7878 @ Oct 14 2010, 05:52 PM) any 1 know what is the market price for 3G ...? RMxx/sqft? they both are right on half only, actually meaning of 3G is the door come with a pcs of glass on surface cum with aluminium side triming (some have build in aluminium handle, some dont have). this is call 3G.How many type of material for 3G? I m so confuse with 3G thing. This is the answer from Erny team: 3G Doors is actually melamine door also but it comes with an additional layer of 3G Glass infront of the melamine board. But some member say: real 3g door adalah solid colour... manakala 3g door palsu ialah menggunakan melamine door dan hanya tambah sekeping kaca di pintu depan shj. klu guna pintu jenis ini harganya adalah murah 50% daripada 3g door solid colour. so some using malemine as back, some using spray paint on glass, some using arcylic, all of them also call 3G, just only diff in pricing. |

QUOTE(dopp @ Oct 15 2010, 07:53 PM) ID knows your suit u better than u know what suit yourself ? Is actually not really like what you think. What i said in the previos post mean, ID are more profession on space planing, and they are good in imagine about the space compare to normal ppl, just because they have lot of experiance compare to normal ppl. Just like why we want to create our own car since there is lot of car designer and factory are doing that for you with more professional way, what you need to do is just choose the right car you want. Similar to ID, u telling ID what you want, they propose to you, and you have a right to change base on what you want, which you only need to sit and choose, but not to thinking the (design) which you may not too sure the space is enough or not. Then can close down this forum, just write <all your interior design suggestion, pls talk to ID> |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Oct 16 2010, 08:23 PM) Anyone knows hoe to remove scratch from my solid surface kitchen tops? Brand is Acelite. Thanks in advance. you can ask your solid surface supplier to come over to do some polish on the surface, if the scratch is not so deep, there is no problem to remove by polishing. |

If the table too big like limwk81, i dont think the "floating" way can be done. My friend had an experiance is, he using the mathod to do his TV table, even he use metal rod to connected with the existing concete wall, but the table still falling down. very dangerous.
In fact, using brick as leg, there is still another way to build it. brick had 3 dimention, 6"(L) x 4"(W) x 2"(H). what you can do is, just let 2" face up to build the leg, then your leg will be thin as finished by about 3" included tiles. is not really urgly. QUOTE(dopp @ Oct 31 2010, 01:01 AM) Sink hole can open easily, if want to install on the table then granite is not a easy thing to cut, that why have to make the hole 1st when the table install. But is seem if the tap install on the sink not really look so nice since the sink is build-in and not much space left (my own opinion only) |

QUOTE(property user @ Nov 5 2010, 07:33 PM) I intend to put glass on the wall of my kitchen instead of tiles. The 6mm thick glass is slightly tinted in green. I have a few options: 1. Use skim coat and then use weathershield paint on the wall before putting the glass panel 2. Use paint (not emulsion paint) to give it a shiny colour 3. Use sticker on the glass 4. Use tinted sticker to give it a dark colour 5. Use wallpaper behind the glass Are there any other suggestions? Any comments on the above proposal? QUOTE(Shazzac @ Nov 5 2010, 07:55 PM) As what i know, glass blacksplashes' background colour can be chosen before installing. The colour is already 'sprayed' or something on the back of the glass - not sure what their technique is called. There are a ton of colours to choose from though. To property user, if you let me choose, i will say, none of the above option is a good ideal. what Shazzac said is the best way to do so. We called it Spray paint glass, which the similar mathod to doing 3G glass door for kitchen cabinet, which spray a colour at the back of glass, and stick the glass to the wall direct, but you cant use normal silicon to do so, because normal silicon "asid" will spoil the colour and you will see the silicon mark after you fix it. there is another type of silicon they said don have asid, that is the right 1 to do it.I think the brand is called Glasskote but i heard it's more expensive. |

QUOTE(property user @ Nov 6 2010, 10:39 AM) Thanks. Usually we buy our paint from our supplier, and i not sure you can get it anywhere, but i do believe when u go paint shop, there will be some paint is suitable to glass, you can ask from paint shop. Can we use any can type spray paint or do we need special spray paint? When you said silicon, do you mean glue? Any recommendation on the glue type or brand to stick the glass to the wall? Silicon is not a glue, but you can use as a glue actually. any brand will do. |
