QUOTE(Shanny @ Aug 15 2011, 01:03 AM) Hi Everyone, I need your advise on this build in wardrobe. My wardrobe just done today, but I found a very weird part. Do you think is it normal to have such a thick side ending as in the picture highlighted? It's about 3inches. Erny, You are a kitchen/wardrobe expert. What is your opinion ? Is this normal ? Seriously need advise on this, hope anyone can answer me.... Hard to say. there may be possible of, your wall are not straight enough, say the top part and bottom part of wall are diff by say 20mm, if use normal way to do, u will see there is a gap at the top, but bottom is fit. if seal by silicone also still see ugly, then they use melamine board to cover to gab, but melamine board can not cut at too small size coz is too easy to broken. so they at lease make a 50mm gab to fit the board and plus ur uneven wall, so may becoz of that 3inc. I not sure, not saw your site b4. or may be becoz of modular problem also.

QUOTE(Shanny @ Aug 16 2011, 10:34 AM) First problem – The sliding door of the wardrobe is “senget”. It cannot close properly as in the picture. I asked UD installer, are they going to fix this next trip they come to my house, the installer said NO. He said the door “is like that”, it cannot be fixed. I am so pissed off with the installer attitude and reply. Will you allow this thing happened to your own wardrobe in your house? A senget door which cannot be closed properly? have u check if your 2 pcs sliding door change place, the current left door close to right, and current right door close to left, will the door able to close fit? usually this is happen becoz floor is not level, and sliding door install on the floor so the door will be adjusted to be close fit to 1 site only, but can not be 2 site.

QUOTE(Shanny @ Aug 16 2011, 11:09 AM) Yes, we have tried to slide the left door to right and slide the right door to left, but problem remain. The right door is senget to the right side. O ic, by the way, anti-jump door can be adjust easily, so i think they can adjust on the door until fit, shouldnt be a problem for that.

QUOTE(Shanny @ Aug 16 2011, 12:33 PM) Yes, I think this can be fixed and MUST be fixed ! But I have no idea why your installer told me “is like that, this cannot be fixed”. Anyway, your salesperson said will come to my house to check the problem. I hope Erny/Tim you can help to follow up this problem closely as I need to move in the house end of the month. Added on August 16, 2011, 12:39 pmThey didnt let me know they will put the board there. I only know that after they installed the wardrobe. Even the 3D drawing also didnt draw out there is such a board there. The cabinet in the 3D drawing is nicely fit to the wall. Added on August 16, 2011, 12:55 pmYes, this should be the correct way..... Hoho, Shanny, i just somebody pass by and bz body to answer your question, but i not represent Unity, but i sure Erny are willing to help.

Any disadvantage to this? you can do that. but 1 thing u have to make sure, is you have a knowledge to communicate with both KC & Worktop contractor so that they able to corporate. ya, material itself only 10mm, but u can do how thick as u want to look like. say, if u want 2in = 50mm so by 10mm thickness add in 1 pcs of 40mm to cover the front side, so totally u saw is 50mm.

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Sep 9 2011, 07:55 AM) just wanna confirm whether this is true... I got a customer who originally bought a top mount sink but later changed to an undermount sink. The KC company want to charge her RM 500 to open the hole for granite if she wants to change to undermount sink, for top mount is free. Is this reasonable or there shouldnt b any extra charges? Speechless, I only can say, that KC company will going to be rich very easy. Most of them are not charging even undermount is really taking more work, but is just cover by the total quote loh, even charge also less then RM100 for a small pcs.

QUOTE(edu @ Oct 5 2011, 11:44 AM) just wondering, can we change/paint/spray the color of 3G door, let say after certain year if wanna switch to other color? or we have to change the whole door? You may still can just change the glass surface only, using back other part (if is not spoil). But take note that when removing glass, may make the aluminium frame spoil, if that happen, will need to change new aluminium frame.

QUOTE(Serofax @ Oct 12 2011, 02:52 PM) Update my KC from Tim (Eleganz design), Hood and hob Fotile set + Maha sink + Sorento taps from Zheilwane. Big thanks to Tim and team for completing my KC at such short notice. There was a delay from my tilers, which in terms delayed Tim from getting the final measurements. But they were kind enough to speed up production to install the KC for me before my move in date. QUOTE(XPS @ Oct 15 2011, 12:09 AM) Thanks. Learned something. About KC carcass, are there different materials used by different suppliers? Heard melamine is good. Checking here for feedback. Most of the KC carcass will made by melamine, and 2nd option is some ppl dont like melamine at all, they will use block board (kind of natural ply wood) to build the carcass.

QUOTE(MangKoK^ayon @ Oct 15 2011, 10:16 PM) guys, need some advice. my house (not yet 100% completed) has this kitchen top built in...if lets say i wanna go for ikea's kitchen set, this thing has to be removed rite? anybody has idea how much? [attachmentid=2486908] if you plan to go for IKEA kitchen set, i think u really have to remove the whole thing, becoz they not doing (custom made), so i totally sure they can not fit into the concrete table. But i guess other KC maker can do so.
