QUOTE(Erny_Looi @ Sep 30 2011, 09:49 PM) Easier way is to hack the wall, bearing wall built by concrete and steel rod, block wall is brick but hollow inside. Pro way is read from the structure plan. Erny, So busy ah. You coming my house this Sunday? or Erik?

All solid surface will scratch easy. White look nice, but if have deep scratch you see very obvious line especially if the line is dirty.

Oven location is personal preference. No right or wrong. For my case, most likely i will not put oven in the cabinet, just external oven.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Yeap, top and bottom cabinet. Just want to make sure the electrician place the socket correctly. Just like the one shown in the picture... Usually is 4ft. Experience electrician should know. Mine is 4ft.

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Dec 12 2011, 08:51 AM) Granite is scratch resistance, while stainless steel get scratches easily. Stainless Steel will have water marks while granite less water marks or cant c. Cons, very expensive but now with my promo the sink is less than RM 1,000 (my promo with sorento tap is RM 1,230), cheaper than some 1.2mm stainless steel sink Think is engineering stone right? not full natural granite. Granite sink can stain too, especially after the protection layer is gone. Try put some lemon juice after some months of use. Is heavy, make sure the concrete top have good support. My friend is using this granite sink, his father left some food on the sink over night, and next day use a stainless steel wool to clean it of, and that portion of sink now are "matt" color. Other that that, is really nice to have too.

QUOTE(@Adele @ Dec 13 2011, 11:38 AM) was wondering, when we say "modern kitchen cabinet', melamine cabinets consider part of modern kitchen cabinet? was thinking of mix and match melamine with 3G doors.. Is about design, not material. I saw solid cabinet (i mean solid not melamine or plywood) and design really nice and simple. Price hehe, 60k over for kitchen and wardrobe.

QUOTE(@Adele @ Dec 13 2011, 01:36 PM) till now i haven't decided on the cabinets which i signed months ago. initially went for those light yellow colour melamine cabinets with black glass..kinda like ikea style..now re-thinking whether it'll look nice o not.. Get some color that are trend neutral. I think white, black, mirror finish, light grey are good trend neutral. Too colorful you have to match with correct furniture.

All put under the hob. Is not a problem. Unless your hod transfer heat under. Added on January 2, 2012, 11:57 pmQUOTE(leeyung @ Jan 2 2012, 09:38 PM) wow, this one looks very elegant but I doubt on its durability If its tempered glass is very tough. QUOTE(@Adele @ Jan 6 2012, 07:01 PM) lowlowc and weikee, thanks for the advise. anyway i insisted to change, and the installer keep saying cannot change. then on the spot i called ikea, they say can and will send somebody with the spoilt pieces again. So for ppl who wanna install..please insist if don't want. my MALM drawer and part of the wardrobe already installed, and i didnt ask ikea to change, coz the wardrobe already drill to the wall..not sure how to change.. anyway..hv a look at my wardrobe...i kind of love it except the scratches i picked the right colour combo .. [attachmentid=2625967] Before move to my current house, I was also ikea wardrobe user. I can say their stuff are practical and the glass sliding door really good, I feel is much better than my current house sliding wardrobe.
