To all kitchen cabinet experts, can I place my build in microwave next to the oven at the bottom cabinet (horizontal) instead of microwave on top of oven (vertical)? Or is there any specific reason why the microwave should be on top of the oven? TQ
*
I dont think there are any specific reason that must be place in any way. That should be base on your personal request, becoz that is the thing you going to use daily, as long as you ok with the location, there is no problem to place in any way.

Where do we usually place the switch for oven in tall cabinet? I was surprised when my contractor said wanna put the switch behind the oven and tall cabinet because all the while I thought the switch will be at somewhere we can turn it on and off when we like for safety measure. Which one is correct?
*
my way is, put the plug behind the oven in the tall cabinet, then make a control switch (just like aircond) at outside the tall cabinet to switch it on and off.

can we buy the granite top by our own and give to kc contractor to install? would it be cheaper? westone puchong got sales but not sure how much %
*
usually KC installer and table top installer are diff ppl, so you can buy your own table top, but u need to ask the table top supplier to provide installer as well. But.. not sure how much you can save for that.

was wondering, when we say "modern kitchen cabinet', melamine cabinets consider part of modern kitchen cabinet?

was thinking of mix and match melamine with 3G doors..

ohhh... but how to differentiate the material is crystal glass or 3G leh?? u know ah?? plan to do the white 3G KC..
*
ya, normal glass actually is in greenish base, so when you spray white color it will become greenish finish. So, to get pure white glass finish, crystal glass need, that is a pure clear glass, so crystal can show pure white.

By the way, can you define (good)? there is always depend on what u need and what u looking for to define what is good. I think all kind of kitchen top are in market becoz of they hv their own adv. so there is no confirm answer for this.

Hi all,
My contractor advised to build a concrete floor with height around 3" as a base for KC. The purpose is to prevent the wood being spoiled when mopping the floor, etc. Btw, I m not building concrete top for the KC. It is advisable to do so?
*
is good to do so.
