erm...that would be nice. The first batch CBU price and CKD price will not be huge difference for Rondo case. But, CKD has taken out few things.

I guess Forte might be the same strategy. If that is the case, better go for 1st batch

Any bodykit include? I doubt the price is RM9++++K for CBU? If this really the price, hyundai can close shop already..

I had a thought on this as well..there's a few probability

1- Msian still sees Kia/Hyundai/Korean cars as bad therefor low sales..lower car price after a year or two
2- 1st batch CBUs more expensive..then 2nd batch onwards CKDs with less stuffs (30% less?)
3- Sell CBUs at current price..then CKDs at same price once its available

I was based on Citra II Rondo case making an assumption. Rondo was first brought in with 800 units as CBU, and lucky buyer got the CBU car. Then later stage, all Rondo stocks are considered CKD (tipu CKD, 90% still import, Naza only put on steering, bumper etc.) and price is same with the 800 units.

I am not sure Forte will go thru the same strategy. If so, of course the first batch will be better, becoz it is CBU mah.

I have just came back from Kia Puchong office, tested drive Rondo, the sales guy told me Forte will be launched 24th Nov.

So, we have two dates now, 15th & 24th.

That's probably the Metallic Bronze. There's no grey colour for the Forte, the closest you'll get to grey is the Titanium Silver which I believe looks much better than the generic bright silver.
Different red. Koup gets a flat shade of red (which may fade with time as most solid colours do), while the sedan gets Spicy Red which is metallic and a little wee bit darker.
