Naza oh Naza... are you pulling a old Proton trick on us now?

Even Proton with the new mgmt engage the customer better and plan their launch better. This is like those old Proton days knowing they are cheap and people will flock to buy, so why bother with planning.

wahlau...fuel subsidy based on engine capacity? then how about those who drive civic hybrid w 1.3cc engine? pay same as myvi owners even though obviously civic owner is higher income? how about those who drive 2.5cc 4x4 pickups? pay like 2.5cc petrol engines?

Normally the insurance company extended warranty on certain parts only. RM700 look ok but do check what are the parts cover.

Like Myvi, perodua strike a deal to cover extra years on their engine and gearbox only.

yup, thats y i'm thinking bout what they cover actually...since mine is free, so i i'm not thinking about wether to pay that rm700 or not. Just have to find out what they cover.

coz u all know la, bila mau claim, ini tak boleh itu tak boleh..they normally cover those parts which majority will not gets damage easily

To all my fellow Forte Lovers/Admirers,
I'm now going for 1.6SX, changing my initial plan to get the 2.0SX. Reasons...

1) Dunno what's the exact release date for the 2.0SX? like JoLee & Bomberman's notes, very likely next year (Jan?Mar? Apr? dunno)... and by then, it could well be a CKD (who know they might start to produce locally due to high demand? The Manager told me all recently arrived are "CBU" and are all 1.6)
2) Tested drive the 1.6SX 2 times and SATISFIED ! 1 short distance, another farther.. clear road, traffic light, uphill (flyover), traffic jam.. all worked well for me. It's more than sufficient for my daily commute around town.. not to forget there were 3 adults & 3 kids in the car. FC from initial 15.3l/100km drop to 14.2l/100km.. so far no sluggish feeling
3) 1.6Sx means cheaper installments/road tax/insurance.. if 1.6SX is already sufficient, no need for 2.0 already..

Loan approved @ 9y for 3.1%. Now waiting for the Branch's confirmation on car allocation (cos Clear White is really high demand).. Once allocation is confirmed, can pay the remaining down-payment and drive home my Forte. The car is spacious, comfortable, and well sufficient for my family. Decision made, deal closed.

Sluggish feeling differ from person to person...1.6 is ok for NORMAL use, if u have 4-5 adults in the car u'll feel heavy...and if with 4-5 adults going up genting, u'll know what ppl called "tarik lembu naik genting" . (u just gotta try this)..

1.6 acceleration guaranteed loose to vios or city.

burgerlim tried already ar?

wow, just took a nap and got extra 2 pages..

err.. is that the power from julz? he just posted complaining warranty period is way too low and the nex day (today) got SA says can extend to 5 years? what's a coincidence..?

i rather pray hard that the car itself will not have any major or even minor problems so that i dont need to utilize warranty thingy at all...
thus, after sales service doesnt matter d..

agreed on this... but usually the most problem part of a car is not the engine but the gearbox.... as gearbox is the most complicated part & most expensive part..... so, if really the extended warranty cover the gearbox.... i think we should just engage it.... as a gearbox can cost you a BOMB. sad.gif

i bet that plate u mean is VIN plate
NZ Galaxy
KIA improve their transmission and also FC, test drive 1, then you will know.
mind to tell which branch give u that first statement....

some of the SA they really dun do their homework...
most of the SA just newly grad from acedamy, and were there for fun.. they nvr appreciate their job...

wondering where all these wrong information came from?

Anyway I hope you are not from Naza. The branch I am dealing with is Taman Maluri. Like you say some of the SA are pretty new. I am just worried about how Naza manages their customers expectation as it does not give a good impression if they are merely accepting bookings and not giving a realistic date for car delivery.

However I have to admit they are very friendly.

I agree with you. Like I said yesterday, the determining factor is whether the 2.0 engine power gives a big difference. If the 1.6 is good enough why not save some money. I am keen on the 2.0 but with all the funny rumours going around and now saying car is ckd if collect in January is a big put off. Yesterday the SA say can get in 2 weeks. Today speak to another SA 2.0 is only available in January 2010 and is CKD. They also expect you to buy the car without testing and not knowing what suprise they may give you. Worst thing is you may get cruise control but they may drop the 6 airbag etc.

Hi Forte lovers!! Wow this thread is flying faster than you can say "anyong ha se yo"!

Sales guy told me if book now, can get CBU unit.

Question: What guarantee do we get, that we will receive a CBU unit? Can cancel, if upon receiving that we find out it's a CKD? Is there some sort of way we can put it in writing when making the booking?
n00b here, sorry if it's a silly question smile.gif

hey just a quick question is it true that we could not get the old car ncb if the car is not under my name? is there any way that I could get this done??

what insurance company is base on the agent that you are buying or you can choose yourself? which is the best and hassle free insurance company?

I'm pretty much in for 1.6sx and gonna settle all this minor minor task and the car loan as well.
