Some how when Naza bring in KIA cars there seems to be ALWAYS something missing. Plus the after sales service sux!

Hey guys, I've been reading with much interest on your forum on the Kia Forte since last week and am pretty 'hooked' on this car..based on its reviews.
like most of you..I can't wait for the launch, test drive it and seriously consider the Forte to replace my old junk.
hahaha...

anyway, just to share on the interest rate I got from a KIA SA today:
5 years @ 3.25%
7 years @ 3.4%
9 years @ 3.5%

My point is, if it's a good design who cares whether it resembles another brand. Due to Peter Schreyer's previous involvement in Audi, there has been comments that the current Kia design cue imitates many Audi models. For me it's a case of learning from the best, and kudos for Kia's designers for producing good-looking contemporary cars.

Having said that, I'm not convinced that all Kia models can carry the H-grill. The facelifted Ceed looks more laid-back and generic compared to the more sleek and aggressive predecessor model, while the Picanto is an old model which looks totally out of place in the new Kia lineups. Maybe the next Picanto might take some styling cues from the larger brother Venga; in fact maybe Kia should consider marketing the Venga globally rather than limited to Europe. It'd give the supermini segment more competition in particularly the benchmark Jazz, the 2, and the surprisingly-not-so-common i20; plus sweep aside the plain jane Yaris who is in need of a midlife facelift soon.

Thinking about Rondo or this. two different class one is mini MPV one is car, dilemma right...

should have a 1.6 version also right?

to me 1st batch low price is like a promo lo.. as many good comments circulating.. then maybe they start to up the price.. think so too why they started with CBU to better the chance... lo.. haaa..
here in sg.. forte price up by ~9k liao..since my purchase.. while COE up by about 6k most..

yeah.... and i've placed my booking as well oh well well, im gonna be the slave of the car haha

actually is not a bad move, is good for us...

try to think if they launch with kia logo, selling above 100K, years later, they re-badge to naza and sell below 100K, will spoil market like last time, ex, kia carens...

now with naza, at least wont hav re-badge problem... but scare they will suddenly give huge discount to clear old stock...

they gone thru so many lesson until ppl so scared to buy kia/naza cars, hope they knew what to do...

That's probably the Metallic Bronze. There's no grey colour for the Forte, the closest you'll get to grey is the Titanium Silver which I believe looks much better than the generic bright silver.
Different red. Koup gets a flat shade of red (which may fade with time as most solid colours do), while the sedan gets Spicy Red which is metallic and a little wee bit darker.

Do you guys get the Orange?

well.. most color is nice with forte.. but its personal... i find. m.bronze.. and tit silver kind of tone down forte... (not so loud..)
Definitely RED is cooll..... i wanted it.. but CFO prefer B.silver... (its v.nice... once you done up your polish...  esp on the move!

Red is cool... v.nice red.. only drawback is it blends with the rear lights.. so.. kind of hide up forte's clean lines...

tit.silver is very close to m.bronze.. under different light condition.. though.. i would go for tit.silver given the 2.. (more greyish.)
the one posted should be m.bronze... cos camera plays a big part too..

btw, my cerato got people scratch with key or some sharp object at right door panel until the front... sigh. the irony is, i parked the car inside the office *sigh*..
is there a way to recover the scratch? touch up perhaps? its a line of scratch anyway, about 0.5~0.9m approx.. sorry kinda off topic since i dont see KIA Club in The Fast & The Furious section  :/

Guys..read this..I posted a question on Facebook in the "Kia Forte Malaysia" page and got a reply from a Nicholas Gomez who happens to be Naza Kia's business development and operations support manager.

I think most concern are whether the car will be Naza or maintained as Kia? Secondly, Kia has been known to give discounts if the sales are not good and most buyers who buys during the launch are thus, worried!
Lastly, after-sales services, I heard are not good in Malaysia.
I'm considering the Forte if I can ease the doubts I have on Kia.

- Forte is the name of the car and it is a Kia Motors product
- It was announced during the recent Picanto launch that the Malaysian factory has passed KMC's latest, stringent audit and will be Kia Motors regional manufacturing hub
- As of 2007 Naza Kia has issued HQ-released OFFICIAL price lists. Any dealers not complying can forget about their future with new models
- Aftersales: 3 to 4 fold improvements in "Fix Right First Time" and ability to diagnose problems
- No discounts. Prices from now start as low as possible and go UP! (Not down).

Forte marks a turning point for Kia products in Malaysia.

hahaha if thats the case, better grab the first batch or 2nd before they jack up the price.... but i doubt they will jack up the price lor due to the market here its not competitive at all
