from what I read, YLOD is actually a general hardware error, it can be anything, not only power supply or mobo issue.

once PS3 boots up, it quickly checks the status of its hardware, any error and its YLOD time.

If bernard can fix this, I can safely say in SEA this would be the first successful fix outside Sony.Am following this case closely.

First in South East Asia, outside Sony... That's a milestone achieved if Bernard is able to fix it. And I hope he really does. Go Bernard!

after jus purchased for 1 month, i used less den 5 hours. one day i came back from work, i cant esem to switch it on. da cable i checked to connect to my cpu, it can power up my cpu, but not my ps3... i was told that ps3 has a problem, where if the ps3 auto shuts down while playin thus ps3 warranty wud not cover it. but since my issue is da power issue, dey mite send to check it.

but for any replacement of parts, do i need to pay? or its jus service fee im excluded???

does anybody face sucha a situation b4? what was your outcome?

Now my 2 month old PS3 got a problem now, everytime i put my blu-ray movie disc inside for the first time, it will not detect it, but reject it and put in again it will detect it back, it is the bad sign of my lens will die soon.... It is bcoz i pause a movie for 6 hour long, then it bcoz like that ??? Deng!!!

PS:But Games disc dun have this problem yet....
