I sympathise. While the "wife" is in workshop, you will constantly anticipate her return. But she will eventually be fixed, so just be patient.
Or maybe consider buying a new "wife"... ehehe.

riazorblues: Yup, not the same wall, and this time I was trying to park, but yes it's the same spot on the left bumper. All my bumps and scratches have happened on the passenger side so far. But I think I know what I did wrong this time, won't happen again.

Yes, my first car. Although hurts, I don't really regret, because I originally intended to buy a Suzuki Swift. I know what I did wrong this time. I was deliberately trying to leave space for the next car to park on the right (ironically I thought it would reduce the chances of scratches), so I turned a bit later than usual. From now on, I'll just park normally... This post has been edited by Andrew Lim: Nov 18 2009, 10:47 AM

nottyKitty: New driver's growing pains... but luckily haven't hit anybody's car yet. Maapu: What I meant sticking a pole or something long, so I can see how far my left bumper is from the driver's seat. But half-joking only.

QUOTE(Yapmy @ Nov 18 2009, 06:13 PM) Munthong's regular customer? Haha, when I drove in to Mun Thoong's workshop today, the mechanics were like... -> -> -> Then we all laughed... very funny... After car fixed, I told the boss I say I hope don't see him again next week. The boss also say he don't want to see me and my MyVi also.

These few days I go to work a bit earlier to practice reverse parking, but still not very good. I only dare reverse park if there's only 1 car beside the bay I'm in. If there's 2, I will chicken out and just forward park. Hopefully with practice can reverse park like a pro next time...

QUOTE(dickybird @ Nov 22 2009, 06:23 PM) in driving school, they never teach you to park properly ke? Yeah, they didn't. They only taught enough to pass the JPJ exam, which consists of parallel parking, not perpendicular parking. Now I'm self-learning. This post has been edited by Andrew Lim: Nov 23 2009, 02:23 AM

I don't think it'll affect MyVi's sales that much. Alza costs more than MyVi and not everybody wants to buy a 7-seater. MyVi's main market is university undergraduates, working singles and small families. Most of the girls I know own a MyVi, don't think they'd choose the bigger variant.

QUOTE(riazorblues @ Nov 24 2009, 12:49 PM) Anyway bro, thats juz my opinion loh, WTA, what is the name of ur driving school? My driving school is Sekolan Memandu Kancil Jaya Sdn Bhd (Jaya Driving School) located in Lucky Garden, Bangsar. Yes I agree a driving school should properly teach everything, and my instructors weren't that bad. First day I learned driving on the highway already. But it was hard to find proper parking lots to learn perpendicular parking.
