riazorblues: Yeah I just got my Vivi last Friday. sad.gif I went to a nearby workshop and showed them the pics... they said will cost around RM100-RM220 to fix. Is that reasonable?

cheeann: Hi cheeann, sorry, I don't understand why rainy season will affect. Can I not just send them during any bright and shiny day? Is it because of the damp air, or rain will affect? The workshop is near my house... icon_question.gif

They said knocking and spraying will be around RM220. The shop I went to is YM Auto Parts & Accessories, located in Lucky Garden, Bangsar.

The amount is an estimate only and based on the photos I showed them. I'll drive my car tomorrow morning to the workshop and ask them to give me the exact quotation.

cheeann: Thanks for the advice. Are you a car mechanic also? Your sig says you service and install...

My car's fixed! rclxm9.gif
After I drove my car back, I was extra careful.
Looks 97% new. Still can see 1 or 2 small scratches. But overall quite satisfied. Won't be driving the next few days to prevent rain from damaging the paintwork.

The total cost is RM367.50. Includes knocking and respray jobs. The workshop I finally chose was Mun Thoong Car Services Sdn Bhd.

Hey guys can help suggest 4 me the best step 4 me to take?
I've lost my car key and am currently using the spare key...if the key rely kenot be retrieved wat shud I do? Change the whole locking system of the car? Wats the estimated price for the following action?
*
I would give Perodua SC the spare key and ask them to make a copy.

Did your original key have any tags with your license plate? If not so then very hard for any strangers to link to your car and use. I wouldn't worry so much because Perodua keys are unique (or so I've been told) so any thieves that got your key would have to test many many MyVis. These days locked cars don't pose much of a hindrance to thieves anyway. I'd rather invest in a good steering/airbag lock and pedal lock.

riazorblues: When I park in my car porch, I don't get bird droppings, but lizard droppings. Almost everyday have to wipe off. shakehead.gif Anyway, black MyVis are hard to clean, but they look stylish. biggrin.gif

lokohotkoko: Oh no... but if minor grazing should be easy to fix. You want Pandan area ah, I think riazorblues said he lives at Pandan and got good quality workshops.

Yeah, Persona is rather expensive. And even highest spec doesn't come with CPS engine.
Which MyVi model are you getting btw? biggrin.gif

Yeah I don't like the SE look too. A bit too 夸张. But black SEs look nice.

What is 夸张? Dunno how to read chinese leh... anyway howcome ppl keep saying SE not nice bla bla sad.gif

My Se orange lovin' it .. stylish, elegant, sporty, or as Ris Low would say.. BOOMZ
*
夸张 means "exaggerated".

The SE front is nice. Looks fierce. The interior is also good, which is why I went for the EE. EE has similar interior to SE.

But I don't like the back. There's a black bumper behind where the exhaust is that I feel looks out of place. That's why I feel black SEs look the best, because the black bumper blends with the rest of the car.

But that's just my opinion... unsure.gif

Guys, my antenna on top of my roof is gone. I think somebody stole it. mad.gif
Where can I buy a new MyVi antenna and approximately how much does it cost?

Edit: Nevermind found it a few feet away from my car. I think somebody's trying to prank me. Probably a robber me and my housemates scared off a few nights ago...

I think MyVi chassis is hard, but the bumpers are designed to be easily crushed to absorb and distribute shock.
