what i mean by point in the same direction is to make it easier for light sensor detect the built in flash fired.

point upwards if you want to use bounce but if high ceiling or no ceiling no use also.
and keep in mind that even if you point upwards or whatever, the options for getting the flash you want/like is greatly reduced because pop-up flash still needs to fire and frontal flash fire is unavoidable.

i recommend using a diffuser but u really need to try out the angles. sometimes i use a large squared styrofoam for a bounce flash and it does wonders at close range. need to experiment on your own to get the right exposure and angles.

post some of ur "large square styrofoam bounce flash" pics please!

yup buy a flash stand or just make your own.

but here's the problem:

1. Nissin 622 is the only current 3rd party flash that CANNOT work with phottix PT-04II in wireless flash mode.

2. Nissin 622 can work in manual mode and would fire WIRELESSLY ONLY IF u use the built in flash. Point the nissin in the same direction and make sure that the nissin can detect the built in flash fire. THE problem with this method is the picture will almost certainly be overexposed because both the built in flash and nissin firing at the same time.

Other flashes like cybertik and falcon eyes can be used with phottix PT04II and dont need to fire the built in flash for the cybertik/falcon eyes to fire.

it means u dun know how to control ur lightings!
we (frens in d300 and me) have used 4-5 lights to light up a model...
and none of it is overexposed...
y?
bcoz we rock...we know how to control lightings...

before u talk like u know stuff...
u better make sure that u really know what ur talking about...

Added on May 14, 2009, 9:04 amif u r not satisfied with my answer...
about the overexposed thingy..
this is a proof...

Shot with 3 lights....
1 camera right, 1 camera left and 1 behind the model.
Any overexposure? i dun think so.

hello.. the 4-5 flash u use ttl or manual?? i guess u use nikon cls system kann??

plz la read the question. i like the "bcoz we rock...we know how to control lightings..." hahahaha... this i need to quote...

tapi yg paling malu...even zellleonhart, the person asking the question said i answered him correctly and also said u don't understand what we're talking about..haha

"u better make sure that u really know what ur talking about..."  - is it pointed towards yourself? i guess so.
*
ok...
i might have gotten the point wrong...
u were talking about slave mode...
and i m talking about cls...
but cls doesnt mean it's TTL or iTTL...
it's still manual...

btw mr know it all...
did u know that u can adjust the power of ur pop up flash?
although it is direct flash...it does not mean it would be harsh...
u could always set ur popup flash to 1/128...
the slave would still detect the flash fired...
but the effect on the subject would be less...
still...
it wont cause overexposure...

also...if u din know...
u can always lower down the power output of the wireless flash if it's too harsh...
if it is no longer able to go lower...
u can always mover the flash away from ur subjects...

did u know adjusting the aperture also limits the lights that enter the sensor?
also did u know that adjusting the shutter speed determines the amount of ambient that falls onto the sensor when u r firing flashes?
