Go nearer to your subject, wide open aperture. Make sure your camera is focusing on the near subject. The further the background relative to your subject, the more apparent the bokeh.

QUOTE(the_tranny @ Jun 13 2009, 09:15 AM)
the rule for max bokeh is = max tele or zoom + max aperture.
So if your lens is tele or zoom ranged, twist it to the max and set the aperture to the biggest. On max zoom/tele, you gonna have to move back a lot if your subject is big (eg : a person, a car)

Thanks for the tips... will try it again...thanks// smile.gif

when will the new 18-200 VR2 reach the retail shop?
I'm thinking to the 18-200 'cause will be going to HK in Oct.

Btw, i'm also considering the 16-85... any comment on this lens if compare to 18-200 for travel and normal shooting use.

Budget real tight.

So RAW have better quality than JPG?? So thats impossible to make it unlimited time for HD movie, right???
*
RAW file is actually the file format that you can use photoshop or other application to recompose/tweak the pic to make more attractive and RAW format is large in size..

Tat's the warranty lar.. whistling.gif .. The yellow is the body (MY warranty) while the white grey one is for the kit lens.. (international warranty).

The next thing u should do is login to tis web site and check ur serial no : see the body is one of the batches tat called back for checkup.

http://www.nikon.com.my/plugins/d5000_verification/index.php?

.. if yes.. then take it to Level 11, PKNS building @ PJ.. behind IJM building... they will do the rest for u.  (less than 1.5hr)

Else it's good to register your body with them too..... BUT MAKE SURE U BRING ALONG the original purchase invoice from the shop and the warranty slips with you and u MUST BE FREE OF H1NI... (((( Nikon there really celaka .. they forced me to signed up a declaration that I'm free of the virus, washed my hand with the given ANTI-Bact gel tat looks like KY even though tat stupid gel doesn't work against VIRUS , and get my body temp checked before they started to attend my needs)))) wat the $%^%&%.  !!!!    mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif

-------- BUT I AM STILL THE DIE HARD FAN FOR NIKON -----------------------------
*
haha... Same thing here... Just sent my d5000 for checkup today. They want me to fill up the form and wash my hand with those gel there then only allow me to get in. After get, before they serve me, check my body temp... Haha..
But it only took 1 hour for the checkup.. Hopefully no problem after the checkup.

There is one guy sent his lens for checkup.. The SWM motor spoiled.. To repair, it cost 500+ excluded labour...

If they ask you to wash your hands shocking.gif, then I'm sure behind the closed doors, they will also wash your camera with the same gel    shakehead.gif . Otherwise no point ma. biggrin.gif
