Go nearer to your subject, wide open aperture. Make sure your camera is focusing on the near subject. The further the background relative to your subject, the more apparent the bokeh.

the rule for max bokeh is = max tele or zoom + max aperture.
So if your lens is tele or zoom ranged, twist it to the max and set the aperture to the biggest. On max zoom/tele, you gonna have to move back a lot if your subject is big (eg : a person, a car)

new or used? how much does D60 cost these days?

a new serial D5000 kit 2day ehehe..
and bought a new Hoya filter



btw, im really newbie here..in what situation shall i change the F5.6,expore,ISO n etc?

Nice.. one, i m thinking to get D5000 too, never touch DSLR, so u think this DSLR very friendly use? How much u bought the 35mm lens??

@edwinlcw - you bought the kit and sold off the 18-55vr lens and got a 35mm 1.8?

imagine the bokeh from a cheap AFD 50mm 1.8..it should be more..might get one soon..

Guys, it is all the picture we shot will be JPG file??? Another question about HD movie, in 720P setting we only can record 5 minute movie?? Damn short lah....

So RAW have better quality than JPG?? So thats impossible to make it unlimited time for HD movie, right???

Tat's the warranty lar.. .. The yellow is the body (MY warranty) while the white grey one is for the kit lens.. (international warranty).

The next thing u should do is login to tis web site and check ur serial no : see the body is one of the batches tat called back for checkup.

.. if yes.. then take it to Level 11, PKNS building @ PJ.. behind IJM building... they will do the rest for u.  (less than 1.5hr)

Else it's good to register your body with them too..... BUT MAKE SURE U BRING ALONG the original purchase invoice from the shop and the warranty slips with you and u MUST BE FREE OF H1NI... If they ask you to wash your hands , then I'm sure behind the closed doors, they will also wash your camera with the same gel    . Otherwise no point ma.
