I do, but getting lesser now maybe because after came back from work very tired and need to rest.
Well, sometimes tempted by the lovely clouds and also the bright sky I'll take some shots. Just never process the shots after that.

Alpha Company, why u say new stock D60 kit lens don't have VR?Is it true?

yes it is true ..but there are still many older stocks available at shops.. it is so very new that nobody even notices. this happens when d5000 came out and nikon malaysia decided to make the 18-55 VR a D5000 kit lens and used the lens that came before VR on the D60. I do need to remind you guys that there are three AF-S 18-55 versions.

Those older stocks of D60 comes with VR lens but a normal nikon sling bag if im not mistaken (can anyone confirm about the bag?)

Newer d60 models have the previous 18-55 lens that came out before the VR version. but nikon malaysia gave a black leather nikon professional bag. much2 bigger and have a lot of space.

some might say this is wrong but i've got the box to prove it. the box states the lens version included. the older stock have the RED VR on top of it.

anyway.. how u know.. old stok or new stock? sometime.. its different country punya stock... so.. the package is different.. last time i saw d80 with twin lens package u kno....

i say it's new stock because:

1. the shopkeeper told me that their d60 stock finish and just got new stock. he said previously it has VR lens but now don't have anymore.

2. you can ask anybody and they will say that d60 WILL come with 18-55 VR lens. it is just very recently, a few weeks before D5000 comes out, that the new D60 stock arrives with the older 18-55 lens and the 18-55 VR goes to the D5000 kit.

3. you can ask any sellers here in trade zone, and some of them already has the newer stock with the older 18-55 lens + nikon pro leather shoulder bag.

4. yes malaysian d80 kit comes with one 18-135mm lens but in other countries like the US, there are more kit lens options to choose something like Sony Alpha series.

5. There are foreign D60 kits that has two lenses 18-55VR + 55-200 VR if i'm not mistaken. there are also a gold version of D60 that has golden shutter button & also a golden D60 plate in front of the camera. even d90 got different lens package in other countries.

6. if different country punya stock, they won't have warranty by Nikon Malaysia. if different country punya stock, it wont have a warranty card stating "NIKON MALAYSIA" on it.

can i know where stilll can buy D40X?

D40X already discontinue..unless you can find second hand..

i bought that time is 2.4k include some accessories, that was 1 n half years ago...

juz bought 1 D60 in last week. the new batch of D60 DOESN'T come with VR lens. free with nikon pro bag (big!) & nikon 4GB sd card..

well u don't really need vr with an 18-55 anyway.

if you want to have 10mp camera under 2k. i suggest going for D60. if you want higher flash sync 1/500, then go for D40

Either get D40 or D60.

If you want D90 kinda performance without internal AF motor, get D5000. but this costs more.

and ' or 1=1 -- is right. some even say that even 70mm below dont need VR. and btw, the comparison of the two 18-55 lens are in kenrockwell's page. he tested and said that 18-55 VR is almost exactly the same.

It is most useful and significant for 70mm and above. Like 55-200 VR, 18-200VR II, 70-300 VR II.
