no it doesnt

intel spec rates that in their testing the vtt to dram has to be less than 0.5v
any difference more than this will degrade the imc.

remember the i7 920 has a unclock mem . dfi mobo u can use it all

so like the ram above with such low voltage

u can run i7 920 stock with 1866mhzh CL7 dram at stock mobo voltage 1.55 with a slight increase of vtt from 1.21 to 1.28.
vtt still less than intel recommended less than 1.35v

Added on May 10, 2009, 1:39 ambtw thats y i didnt post 2000mhz cas6 cause require voltage was vtt 1.39 with vdimm 1.86..
thats cutting too close to the 0.5v

btw my proc and mobo has more than 200 hours of prime burned in and also more than 100 hours of linx.
most of the vtt voltage was around 1.48v-1.58v with dram ranging from 1.65-1.75 on multiple ram kits for testing..

not a single sign of degradation at all.
all done inside the casing.
but good cable management and airflow.
and good cooling on the proc is a must
